  2. So always been keen to try and ride track. Took the plunge and bought a bike. Now looking for useful tips from you gifted hubbers, done lots of riding now just to hit the track, so to speak. All advice would be appreciated. Thanks

  14. This am was pure bliss.... Dbn was stunning. A little frantic up to the Sharks Board and the HR was thru the roof. The group rode responsibly..... just our driver needs to ensure his car starts next time he is driving back-up. At this time of the year we may need to pass the hat around so he gets a service.... This is the way to start your day! Bring on tomorrrow!
  15. Hi all Just buying a 29er and only ridden the bike once. What is the verdict = with the wider bars, do you all still use bar ends for climbing or with the width, do you opt not to? Thanks

  20. Hubbers - hope u can help. Purchased X3 blackburn light in 2007 - great light, but sadly battery does not hold charge for very long anymore. Are there options to use another battery pack? Possibly smaller one too? I have spoken to agents (Omnico)and await their feedback. Please see pic Any help would be appreciated - light is in perfect working condition and so would be sad to see it "lost". Thanks
  21. Question - why do hubbers advertise something for sale and then just disappear off the face of the earth? Should this not warrant a "negative" rating on the marketplace scoring? One thing is for sure, it is very irritating. What you say?
  22. very moving story! Been hit by car twice.... I think I can say I know what it feels like to be given another go.... Enjoy every second!
  23. Once you used to it, ride on empty tummy and just water. Ride duration approx 2 hours and then eat straight away. Weekends - take something with and keep fuelled - duration 3 - 3.30hours. Drink a combination of energy drink (electrolyte replacement) and water. Eat afterwards.
  24. During the week start at 4.10am, weekends say 5.30am Allows for 2h15 ride during the week and longer weekends. Also helps with sleeping! The biggest factors for me - safety, no traffic, not intefering with family life - young kids etc. During winter is harder - we must have looked like gorillas in the mist this am, but v good lights. Also allows one to train on empty tummy and burn fat... but only try when you used to it. C U on the road early.
