Sorry if this sounds stupid, but could you explain this for me. Then will I need any other adapters for mounting the calipers if Im going from HOPE C2(old brakeset) to Shimano SLX. Im taking the SLX set off my Trance and onto my GT, and then the XT set goes onto the Trance.

I have seen the adapters, If I can avoid them by selling off the CL rotors and getting something else I would prefer that. Little bit weary of the whole adapter route.

Ive only just realised they come in the set as CL, they have been sent already, so I will sell the Centre locks and get 6 bolt if need be. So running the HOPE rotors with Shimano should be OK?

I will be finally getting my new 2012 Shimano XT Brake set this week The rotors that are included are centre lock and I need 6 Bolt. I know there are the Ice Tech rotors that you can get but they are pretty expensive, but they do recommend them for the new Shimano Brake sets. I have the Alligator wind cutters on my other bike, which go with a SLY brake set. I'm not too keen on them as I find the calipers don't "grip" the rotors nicely because of the outside shape of the widcutter and thus results in the brakes shuddering. So do I stick with the Alligator Brand but rather go with the Wavy rotor or the Pizza Cutter? Even willing to try the Shimano 6 Bolt. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, and especially from any folks running the 2012 XT brakes.

Whats the reasoning behind Cycles Africa not wanting to look at a replacement or honoring the warranty?

Went around to a few Tiger Wheel & Tyres yesterday and a few other shops looking at mags for my car, I was surprised to find that one TW& T store was cheaper then the other one, so before I told him any prices, I asked for a discount in a joking kind of way after he had said he would match the price of the other branch, the guy looked at me smiled and said sure no problem. Im now getting the same rims almost a grand cheaper then the original TW & T quote. :clap: If you don't ask you don't get

How come no one explained this to you when you asked for a towbar to be attached? What rack are you using that requires you to have a lightbar? I would go back to Nissan.
