  1. Personally I would have followed him, asked a few question and tried to call the cops. Since it is looking very possible that he has nicked it from a race area. Thats just me though.
  2. What about paying tax when you take the bike back to Brazil?
  3. Thanks for all the info, I should get it first time tomorrow
  4. yeah, ive watched numerous videos today on this, the ghetto version, the stans version as well as a couple others. Seems I'm a bit stooooooooooooopid and missed a nice cut in the sidewall. Off to the shop I go then.
  5. Also how much Stans must I put in, Im using 100ml as per Stans website. This maxiss tyre is also quite old, may need to check for any sidewall damage, would a new tyre work better? So maybe I go tomorrow moring to the petrol station, leave the car to be wwashed and do my conversion on the forecourt.
  6. Ok so, it can work fine with just the rim tape, but is a bitch to get it too hold the air in. Its better to use the yellow rim tape to cover the holes and use the Stans rim strips. I can use 24" BMX tubes instead of the rim strips.
  7. Ive got one person saying rim tape is whats needed and someone else saying rim strips are needed. As in the picture of the rim and old tape, what Ive done is replace the old rim tape with the Yellow Stans rim tape, according to the stans website, ie one strip down the middle. Am I missing something here?
  8. Just to be sure here, Ive got the Stans yellow rim tape, I had to get seperate valves, am I missing anything here? The Stans rim tape is on the rim.
  9. They are Maxiss crossmark, non-ust though. Maybe why its not sealing properly, from what I know they should be ok to use. Why do you say no need for the valve?
  10. I want to get new rotors as well, this is where the problem lies, the HOPE C2 brakes I have use a 165mm rotor, would it be ok to use a 160mm ?
  11. Tried it and it still wouldn't stay inflated, I also only used the bubbles. I rubbed the bubbles all the way round on both sides of the tyre. How do the soapy water(bubbles) help with sealing it all up?
  12. Cant seem to get it to stay inflated, the foot/ hand pump is no good & tried three bombs. Air escapes and can't spin it fast enough(also don't have a truing stand to spin it on) for it too plug up. I suppose an air compressor pump would work better, doh
  13. What happens with the soapy water & the stans sealant mixing together?
  14. So I'm about too attempt my first tubeless conversion. Ive looked at various clips online & read what I can on the hub so have got pretty much an idea of what I need to do. Just have a couple questions though Ive got the Effetto tubeless valve kits, Stans rim strip & Stans sealant. As far as I know thats all I need. Just need to make 100% Im on the right track Question 1: In the pic of the existing rim tape, is it neccessary to put the Stans rim tape over this to make doubly sure there will be no air leakage? Question 2 : Should I rather remove the existing rim strip & exchange for the Stans rather? Bearing in mind the existing stuff is very, very old. It also looks very thick compared to the Stans rim strip Question 3: What is correct combination of parts for the tubeless valve kit, ie the washer, the round rubber seal & the tubeless valve? Ive taken a picture of the combination, but looking at my other bikes tubeless conversion(shop did that), the dont seem to have the rubber seal or washer, are these needed? Or does the valve just go straight through from the inside(rim strip side) throught the valve hole and just screw it together from the other side as per a normal tube.?
  15. Whats ridiculous about this request?
  16. Not sure if you get there off of old Main Rd though? It looks like you need to get there from the back way. Ring before and just check first. Thats awsome, I can get my glasses redone too

  18. Ok cool, where can I take it for the dip? Also what you saying about prep work? How would a black sandblasted frame look with black sprayed forks?
  19. Explain this further please
