  1. Would you like a basket with that?
  2. Eish, Not sure if Im gonna be happy with the shudder & feel that Ive already experienced. Although before my brakes went faulty I never noticed any shuddering, then it started. So thats always gonna be there now(well for the life of these rotors?)
  3. Dont tell me that, why does no one tell you this at the LBS - Do they work betterr though, despite the fact they eat pad?
  4. When you say organic, the resin pads as opposed to the metal pads? Would they be these ones - http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx?ModelID=3369
  5. Bring back the old school Raleigh BMX bicycles for kids - Never ever had a problem with those
  6. Can you imagine how massive their customer base must be, so Im sure problems will inevitably occur
  7. Thats what Im thinking, silly silly LBS Thanks for the info - Quick question - Are the Swisstop disc pads worth the money? Should I be changing the pads when I get new rotors -
  8. Are the SwissStop pads worth the money, do you get good pad lifespan? Looking at getting a new set of SwissStop pads to go with my new Alligator Windcutter rotors for my Shimano SLX brakeset(are they even compatible). Would this be a good idea or an expensive waste of time. From what Ive read on the hub & other reviews they are the dogs bollocks. My boss has just put them on his bike with his Alligator Windcutter rotors, and is loving them( No more squeeking, and great in both dry & wet conditions) Was just hoping for some other opinions.
  9. Do we then also add an undeceided "button" ? Where does it stop?
  10. They would be the windcutters, I was thinking that as well. Im also thinking brake pads will need to be changed as the point of contact between the two rotor makes is quite different(pads to rotor)
  11. Then the LBS mechanics need to be castrated - They assured me they couldnt have done anything wrong. Still weird though.
  12. Stupid question of the day One to hold the bike, the other to clean it. dont be so silly
  13. Swindon, bwah ha ha Not much going on there(ever)
  14. Soft would be that Im pulling the lever all the way to the handlebars and very little braking is going on, like the pads are not making enough contact with the rotor, feels like a loss of pressure in the hoses. Yet when it slightly slowing me down , the contact is shuddering which I can feel reverberating through the frame. All I did was change the rotor though(well the bike shop did) I called them today and they say that Ive losed fluid in my hoses resulting in the lost pressure. I cant see any leaks, ruptured hose or any spillage either. One minute they were working the next not.

    sneak peak

Someones gonna get the ball bearings in a twist, after the whole chain guard episode
  16. How much better is XTR then XT, is the performance sooo much better or is it that its purely a weight saving exercise? I wanna upgrade soon, and not sure if its worth it
  17. Personally I think the owner of this vehicle should be charged as well. How & why is an alledgedly intoxicated person that claimed she "doesnt stop for cycllicts" let behind the wheel. Its seems she drives without a license on a frequent basis, if she claims such things. Possibly having to drive whos car this, as they are probably drunk as well. This woman needs to be named and shamed i'm afraid. Also what kind of speed would she have been driving at for such extensive injuries? They need to make an example out of this woman
  18. So sorry to hear of this tragic loss of life, especially the loss of your friend too. Was the woman that did this not arrested at the scene and taken to jail? Or just fined and sent on her way in the car she was driving for being an unlicensed driver?
  19. Damn you cheesecake, stop talking to me
  20. What "new" USN product is that?
  21. I did the same thing yesterday, new rotors. They started off fine then went faulty, the shop changed them for me, now the rear brakes(SLX front & rear) are soft(front are fine), I can pull the lever to the grips without stopping, then they started to shudder when I pulled on the levers, finally giving me no brakes at the rear. They worked 100% before with the old rotors(gone from shimano to alligators) What could the issue be? Surely they should not need bleeding, the pads seem fine too. Should the LBS sort this out as they did the change over, but Im also curious to know why this would happen???
