  1. Damn, wipeout today - There goes any further riding plans for the weekend, gazed everywhere. That will teach me not to get carried away . Must have jinxed myself by admitting Ive not had a fall in over a year or more
  2. Seems too good to be true , but I mean on a groupset the prices seem crazy I would possibly take a chance with that.
  3. Is it a chain LBS, they might be in Durban somewhere I hope. Ill phone around now What did you pay for it?
  4. Where did u get it from? do you know if the are agents or shops in SA that do them I tried a met yesterday and they are by far the most comfortable helmet out there(in my opinion, based on what Ive tried thus far)
  5. MET Kaos UL - anyone got this helmet looks the bomb, ticks all the right boxes, and only R930.
  6. Really, through this website. Most parts & bikes are made in China though, so do you think this is not for real?
  7. Just had a look too, I would be in on a groupset, possibly even a bike if this is for real Please keep me updated I wonder if this is where all the agents in this country get there stuff from, cut out the LBS & Agent - I like it. From what Ive checked out, It all seems pretty legitimate. It must be for real
  8. The Petrol Boys? Sounds like a hard arse gang, lol.
  9. What an absolute plonker you are. All i'll remember them for is being a bunch of twats with no consideration to other road users or the general public - Arrogance and a bad attitude gets you know where in life mate Still amazes me that not one person from the club that was possibly involved in all this has been man enough to say something on here to defended themselves. Im pretty sure no one would go to the lenghts that Ash did to let them know what was going on. He could possibly have stood up and met with these the club chairmen or a representitive, but after already being alledgedly threatend, why should he? It just gives cyclists an already worse name, especially at a time when we need all the help from the general public & traffic authorities in road accidents & deaths. Just my 5c there, again.Im not anti roadie in case youre thinking, more anti idiots
  10. I used to just use my normal day to day glasses for riding, costly mistake. So having these will definatly help thats for sure B) You down for the long weekend I take it? I hope u brought your bike
  11. Unfortunatly with my eyesight and stigmatism I had to go this route - Would have been a pleasure to have gotten something cheaper, but I think I got a great deal, considering Rudy Project wanted to charge me R5000.00 just for the lenses alone (they having a laugh that bunch)
  12. You do realise that photocromatic/photochromic & Transition lenses are pretty much the same thing B) . Its marketing mumbo jumbo, from what Ive been told by two differant optomotrists now. If you dont mind me asking what did you pay for the D'arcs with the lenses included?
  13. Not sure if anyone mentioned it ,but there is also an adjuster at the back of your helmut, you did have a look at that too
  14. This is what R2100 will get for you in in terms of Full Prescrition Lensed Sunglasses B) , they come with anti-glare and anti-scratch and are full transition as well. This is not to brag, but advice for any people wanting/ or even thinking of getting prescription Sunnies for riding. Ive ridden for 10 years battling to see properly So sooooooper stoked they only took a day to make up. So I will be trying these out tomorrow, Im so damn excited Also had my new parts fitted to my bike and my new tubeless wheels sorted out(its a long story, stupid LBS) I cant wait to ride tommorrow, it feels like its christmas
  15. I dont think ive got an odd shaped head(while he check in the mirror, not all seems fine to me) My mother did say she dropped me on my head a few times when i was a kid . It may explain a few things. They didnt have the full range of Bell Helmets to try on, so ill go after my ride tommorow to look at others, Im not dismissing the bells at at, they will all go through my rigourus consumer testing. Every helmet if I have to Funny how some helmets I needed a large, others a medium, wierd(maybe I do have a funny shaped head )
  16. Not sure if I like that bit that goes around the back of your head. But stocked youre happy with it. You can test it out tomorrow
  17. lol - definatly not convinced on the Specialized helmets - It didnt fit too nice on me melon firstly, secondly I felt like a storm trooper with it on, - Also too much of expensive Not worth the money I think So then tried the Bells , they are so so as well(they only had a small range to try on, not convinced with the fit either, but will give the rest of the range a go though. Then it was a FOX helmet again not for me. Then it was the MET's turn, I currently have a MET(parachute), all I can say is we met and I fell in love, it ticks all the right boxes for me - it is so much of comfortable . So CRC here we come. Does anyone know where in Durban I could try the "Catlike" helmets, I dont wanna drive to Hilton to try it on and also to look at a helmet. So its just the Giros left. Anything else possibly , that I should try. Ive realised it is definatly down to fit, then price, then looks. So if thats vain, so be it
