  1. Thats hectic, that they dropped a paving slab on your head. Whats this country comin too(god that maks me angry ). Where & when did that happen, They didnt take your bike I see. Was it from a bridge or something?
  2. \ Not come, on I'll confront them and phone their boss(well the bus driver at least, do you think a taxi boss is goona listen to a white guy complaining about one of his drivers, lol) Im just saying it could have been better handled by both the chap involved and by the cyclists involved. This isnt my gripe, im trying to be as diplomatic as possible here, seeing both sides to the story. Why not just speak to the club as a whole? What are they saying, that he is lying?
  3. Why not, that makes no sense. There is also no need to threaten someone, this has clearly taken place - I doubt the guy went around threatning these riders. It says a lot
  4. It will be crowded anywhere( you vaalies always take over ), get there super early. For 6am - either place - Its gonna be hot & humid I think.
  5. Why is everyone attacking the guy. There is clearly an issue here.
  6. When did u want to ride there? Be careful of getting lost Just from what Ive heard, I was thinking of going there as well. Dont forget Giba either, great riding too
  7. Im not taking anyones sides here, but there is obviously an issue, I dont think the chap would have said something in the first place. The fact he knows so much, also not good that some big guy is threatning the bloke as well. Either way thtas definatly not on. However he should take the time to meet up with yourself and the club chairmen to sort out the matter, possibly at a neutral meeting place - He has already been threatend and feels intimidated. Why he doesnt also just post the pics up here? Just my 2c
  8. To bed with me, the wifes on the couch(havin some upgrades done as we speak )
  9. I hear you on all counts - helmet shopping it is then.Damn I hate shopping even at a bike shop
  10. I did notice that too in all my research thus far - Why do you think that is - you would think less material = less expensive.
  11. Met are good helmets, all round(but with helemt protection its much of a muchness) - As the thread suggests it more about fit?
  12. There are helmets that way 175g, now that I cant afford. Come up to Durban and ride, then you will know about heat & humidity is all about. Im happy to spend the least amount possible. Dont think its vanity, More personal choice(or is that vanity)
  13. Well get it on the bike( if not already) and go for a ride
  14. Talk about deviating from the thread Happy braai day - Its steak & boerie for me
  15. I also have one of those bandana thingys, maybe the sweating thing was the wrong thing to say, I take it back (scolding accepted)
  16. I dont think its vanity - We all look like tjops with helmets anyway - When you ride for 3 or more hours in the middle o summer in Durban with the humidity trust me anything would help.
  17. Oh sorry, thought you were havin a go at me I did try help to the best of my ability. So my only sentiment is sort out the brakes for your own safety Happy Riding. Just so you know too, none of the blue anodising matched on my bike Irritates me
  18. What are your sentiments exactly?
  19. Is that the "aggression" thats going on within the hub - ADMIN HELP PLEASE
  20. LoL, I found they did an experiment by dropping a massive ball into the grand canyon - Didnt bounce at all
  21. Thanks, for all the info - So fit is most important then, then ventilation, then cost. I wont complain going shoppingh at all. I realise cost is a not a relevance to how good a helmet will actually protect your melon, but it does bring down the weight, and possibly will be better ventilated. So even if youve not had a crash a helmet should be good for how long then?
  22. I love that bit Thanks for the info
  23. The brakes are very important, get them sorted. Did say that before
  24. Thanks for the heads up, I wont be buying from Cajees then, maybe the agents & the LBS both need to have a pau wau and see whats best for both their businesses and make sure the customer is getting the best deal at the end of day. Someone along the chain has completely forgotten why they are in the retail business. That way all will be happy Surley both the LBS and the agents will be loosing a lot of money & business because people are doing their shopping online locally or overseas.
