  1. You will probably find that it may work out cheaper as well, I think so. It may not be that way in the beginning because of a bit of R&D, but once that's sorted it's basically just steel, cut, bend(roll) and weld, not to detract from any of the art of making a bike but that's what it is essentially. You could copy any frames basic geometry on the market if you really wanted too.
  2. Wow guys, you certainly have outdone yourselves again. Well done to everyone that contributed in making a new MTBer happy Makes me proud to be a member of The Hub SA
  3. I would have punched him in the face if that is indeed the case. What a tjop.
  4. Damn, I ended up missing the ride because of circumstances beyond my control. How was it?
  5. There were a couple cases in the UK a few years ago, where the companies did this and they had to honour the mistake, cost them loads, not sure what the rule or law is in SA though.
  6. I'm pretty excited for my first ever Critical Mass in Jozi, first ride on a bicycle in Gauteng as well. What other Hubbers will be riding, would be awesome to meet & great and put some faces to the alias.
  7. We are in, myself and a group of mates, all Durban(Westville) boys
  8. Are they really, have you not seen the exchange rate?
  9. Nice one Nigel, big up the KZN massive
  10. You coming to Critical Mass on Friday night, it would be great to finally put a face to the alias, as I know a dog can't type
  11. I will be based in the Northcliff area. I have no idea where that is in relation to anything unfortunately.
  12. I am looking for another helmut, but otherwise just to check out some shops really. To see what you JHB folks have to offer, my new missus was also keen at getting a bike, so a bit of bike shopping as well.
  13. I'm coming up to JHB this week for the first time in 15 years, and would like to know which are the best Bicycle Shops to visit. Many Thanks
  14. I will be needing a large and the missus a medium. I was planning on buying new helmut while up there. It can be a fixie, single speed or MTB, even a road bike will suffice.
  15. OK cool, will do. I was hoping that there was a very kind & generous Hubber that could help me out possibly. I know there are guys with bikes gathering a bit of dust.
  16. Hi All, I'm coming up to Joburg for a short visit this Thursday night till Sunday. I was hoping that a fellow Hubber would be so kind as to be able to help me out by lending me a bike for the evening or can someone point me in the direction of where I can take possibly hire a couple bikes for myself and my girlfriend. I would be willing to pay any compensation if need be. It would be great to meet up with any other Hubbers that are gonna be riding? It looks as if I may just be moving to Joburg in the not too distant future so this is a bit of a rekkie mission for me at the same time.
  17. I hear you, but maybe get out some more. There really is a life outside of cycling.
  18. Was she hot? I bet you would have stopped if she was?

  20. I've taken a package into Thailand, just saying, One night in Bangkok.
  21. Not sure, I got a list from Two Wheels Trading but it as useful as a poke in the eye with a sharp stick. The list was for shops in CT and Durban only. Two Wheels Trading can't even tell me who gets their stock. So I'm at a bit of a dead end and they just stopped replying to me when I asked for more info, they suck with regards to customer service . The best bet is to try call every bike shop you know and ask. I also tried another branch of Sportsmans last night and also came up empty handed. Even though its listed on their website.
  22. Please keep me in the loop once you here something. Are the spokes black? They look black to me
