  1. Did anyone else know that Wiggo was a smoker? Is it common knowledge?
  2. I've got some, if you don't come right, brand new.
  3. I heard a story like this recently, and they got 12 months subs or something paid back to them. Not nice, knowing that something could have happened to your loved ones.
  4. Thats all nice in theory, but then your premiums would just go up & up and up.
  5. Did you ask for your money back? Thats a load of bollocks really. The tracking people cocked my car up, they left a massive hole where they were running wires to the actuall device and my whole boot filled up with water as a result, it took three days to work out where the water was coming in, muppets.
  6. and they say the hub is racist, that is a white guy stealing that bike
  7. I've just come back from Tiger wheel & Tyre where they are now offering vehicle tracking for R100/ month. I'm pretty sure this device is gonna be along the same lines, if not the same people. When I enquired about it for a bicycle, the owner says to me, you cannot have it on a bike as it does not have a registration number So I ask why it has to have a registration number, he tells me because a car does, huh. What would you think to be a fair price considring you are also paying insurance? Also would the premiums come down if a tracker was fitted?
  8. I'm wondering if it's the same guys that did the skate comp last week. I'll try find out, thanks for the heads up though. .
  9. I've just copied this from the Facebook page I meantioned earlier, its from a chat I had with the one of the guys there. If you can get some cheap go-kart wheels, they are the bomb, otherwise this seems a better option. You can go solid PVC rod, milled out and have bearing inserted, the problem here is they don't roll nicely and are extremly noisy. I would say, steel is much better. Aluminium is too expensive, the welding's going to be a nightmare as well. Thus far we haven't used go kart wheels, because we built our trikes on a budget. The best option we found was the Pneumatic wheels. There's 2 sizes that's perfect for a trike. One has a nylon hub and other has metal hub. I found that the 250mm tire diameter works best. 250mm diameter PVC fits like a glove over that. this is the best inexpensive option I would say. Sunday at 17:55 I know of two places selling them. Castor King. Have a look on ther site for more details: http://castorking.co.za/contact-us/ Western Cape Bearings is also a place where you can buy it. I couldn't find a Website of them specifically but here's a listing with their details: http://www.brabys.com/business/4998648/south-africa/western-cape/brackenfell/nikkel-st/bearings-seals/west-cape-bearings-transmission

@Tumbleweed, I found a new job for you
  12. I think that they are purely fdor resting your feet somewhere, then again I posted a pic of a hub that is especially for the drifting trikes.
  13. Best plan, but like someone else said, they will more then likely start to play the blame game. So just be sure to have all your ducks in a row. Good Luck
  14. The bakkie is needed to get to the top of the hills and to transport the things, we will have three possibly four once we have all built them. It will be kind of like the gravity/ downhillers, ride down and lift back up
  15. I'm now wondering if the father is being nice now because he knows the son was at fault, and is trying to get out of not having to pay your excess? Then again, I could be way off the mark.
  16. Sorry to hear at least everyone was OK. The kid was more then likely day dreaming while listening to his music, did you mention this to the father? Nice one Dangle
  17. On route to Cape Town from Durban taken yesterday,
  18. Thats a seriously hectic story, some terrible damage could have been done. I agree with going to the Police.
  19. I've come across a great Facebook group, got some good info from one of the guys there last night.Agreed that the geometry & wheelbase is not critical, but important. The mates that I sometimes skate with are pushing to build as well, none of us have a bakkie to transpost us though, lol.
  20. Yet it costs you R200 to hire a small car/ day, which can cost three times as much. Bike hireing rates are redicuosly expensive. R350 to rent a Santa Cruz for the day at Holla, they are haveing a bloody laugh.
  21. Thanks for that , will be going this weekend.
  22. Where did it get stolen? It may help with people to keep a lookout.
