  2. Done, could you share your results when done. Also it would be helpful to poll different user groups, like dog walkers and runs and commuters
  3. I got this lying around in my draw. If you looking for one give me a pm. Bought this in the early days of trainer road.
  4. Sit down with the bosses and ask them to be honest and evaluate properly for yourself where the business is. The thing you need to work out is the business in trouble, e.g. not enough customers and work right now and in the future to pay the billsor is it just purely a cashflow problem where you have enough work returning the right margins, but the company is getting paid late and doesn't have a credit line to smooth things out.If the message is we don't have enough customers or work or don't know where and how we getting customers or work. Or we working below cost just to get business. This is a sign that you should start considering your options. If the message is we got enough work, and the margins are right and we know where our next set of customers are coming from and the company is been paid late. This is normal teething problems and you most likely won't need to scramble for work as the doors won't likely close on you. I have been on both sides of the fences. in 2014 the company I worked for went into business rescue [cash flow issues], 2 days after the news, my 2nd son was born and 6 months after that I threw caution into the wind and joined a startup. That company is still around today, a 3rd of its size and regrowing. The startup I joined went really great for 18 months, the business was growing we were expanding into 2 new markets. I employed a team of people to help continue to grow the business further and then all of a sudden our main customer got into trouble scaled back and 6 months after hiring a bunch of people we had to let them go. The company limped on for another 12 months and then closed its doors. You got to decide which path the business is on and make your call from that.
  5. No bottle this year, replaced with a blue buff. That's a change
  6. Just bought one off amazon, non bundle for $249. Shipped it to Seattle where it make it way to SA as a carry on. While looking into it the bundle from amazon was only R600 cheaper than easybike.
  7. Kiddies Ride tomorrow - how is traffic in the morning getting to the venue ? is it anything like the road race where I need to rock up 4 hours before the start?
  8. I was using a Cycleops Jet Fluid Pro with a speed sensor - which will shortly be up for sale. Check the list of trainer here to see what works. on the classic trainer setup I would go with a fuild trainer http://zwift.com/get-started A friend just ordered the TACX Satori Smart from CRC, which is the cheapest way to go if you don't have a trainer or sensors, which was DC Rainmakers cheapest recommendation. [but the inability to change resistance while zwifting, over time I reckon will get him to upgrade. Another good place to look is here https://www.dcrainmaker.com/2016/10/annual-winter-2016-2017-bike-smart-trainer-recommendations.html And Computer or Iphone or Ipad
  9. Kickr Snap to balance training, kids, work, family and make Zwifting alot more fun
  10. I find morning IDT works best. Once you factor in Work, travel time, Family(Wife & kids: This will change the routine you establish now). Afternoon become unpredictable to plan, since work does not always end at 5 [big projects, last minute deadlines etc] and traffic is never smooth and it's riding that should give way before family and friends.
  11. Yeah, there was about 6 to 8 of us on Zwift
  12. Go to Full Throttle and buy Dot 5.1. I also saw some tins at Northcliff cycles in December.
  13. I am still riding with my rider 35 still works great after 3 years, the HR belt is thou falling apart. But I wouldn't get another 1. Main reason is they use a propitiatory file format and their TCX file export tool information is limited, doesn't contain the barometer, temp etc so if you 3rd party sites like Strava you don't get the full benefit of the data that is actually been collected by the unit. Their website hasn't been updated in the last 3 year and they don't seem to invest improving their user experience. I noticed that they don't have a distributor any more in SA
  14. Polokwane game reserve. The water hole is mud pit, this time last year it looked like a lake.
  15. I got the same wheel set and broke the rear axle at beginning of the year when Easton was changing SA distributors and spent 3 months waiting for a new axle. At the time I went through the same question as you, just replace the rear hub and get on with it. And that's when I realized that the combination of the straight pull spokes and spoke count on the wheel limited what hub you could replace it with. And it would be better in the long run to just get a new wheel, since the HUB is the most expensive part of the wheel and there was a limited saving in the rim and the spokes.
