Not only did I fall today cause I approached a little hill wrong! My chain and my brothers chain broke. No spare links what so ever. Never the less it was a Nice morning out in the mountain! Luckily I was not to far from civilization. Nice experience at least i will get some quick-links and keep a few in my saddle bag!!!!!!!

Anyone have some of these hubs on their MTB? Is the hubs any good? I got a set of Scott wheels with my Anthem frame. I see CRC sell the front hub for R1400 and the rear R2400. The price tells me this is good but I could be wrong! Any feedback.

I took the anthem out for a ride and it feels weird. Maybe its because I started on a Hard tail. Will I get used to the feeling? My buddy left the bike with me to test drive it. Will check tomorrow night after work. The bike is actually really light. I did not expect that. Lets see tomorrow what she does.

Is there any difference between a 2008 Model Anthem 1 and a Anthem Team frame? A Fox RP23 Float shock is gonna be included in the deal with seatpost and headset. How much is this worth????? My buddy wants 4000

I stay in Idas Valley and we go via Old Helshoogte pass. There is a new Security gate so no more people are allowed to Hang around there. You can go through the gate with bike or go walking there. You can go in @ the top next to the tokara entrance. If you're comming from the bottom there is 2 places to enter. Either over the DAM wall or go on further with the tar road and then get to the second dirt road and then just follow it. just keep right and follow the dirt road

Yes saw a couple of roadies go past us on there way toward franschoek on the old Helshoogte pass. I see its becoming a popular route as the tar road leads all the way to the top of Tokara wine Estate and then one can take the new Helshoogte towards Boschendal/Franschoek. It was a nice MTB ride though.

I've had a BC1609 and recently got a rox 9 with a bike I bought. Just had some trouble in the beginning with sync issues of the sensors. I since figured it out and it works Cool. I fell the other day and the HR sensor got a knock and now it does not work. I've since ordered a new one. Sigma is not that bad.

Went to see how it looks @ Idas Valley Dam. Cycled all the way up to The HYDRO and back down into Idas Valley.

Would a flat bar change anything for me if i convert from a XC Riser bar? Would it be a good or bad thing? Any help.

There is way more mud now then earlier this year. Took a ride there Saturday and it was really muddy. gonna go for a ride tonight and see.

Maybe its like my mother used to tell me we are all big boneded..... I have however gone from 115Kg's to 104 in the last 4 months. Hope I get some more K's off. The hill climbs are getting easier!

Spoke to my Bike tech last night and my Anthem should be Done and ready for collection on Friday! No I cant wait. Hope we have ok weather this weekend. as i want to take her out for a ride....

I think its this weird Weather we've been having here in Cape Town. Hope the weather starts to clear up as I see the sun comes out earlier in the morning now. I'm getting myself ready for the morning rides before work. Hope my boss will let me come in later in the morning. I think 8:45Am would be ok as it takes me a 45min to go up Coetzenburg and down by "Hang brug" back to Idas Valley. Should be interesting....

I am a bit over weight that is why i started cycling. I don't really like the tight fitting shirts... The padded shorts i can live with but the shirts is a bit to tight. looking for something more loose fitting. where can i buy???????????
