  1. Everybody makes a valid point! Everybody should just be civil and give each other a fear chance of Passing. Ride SAFELY and be considerate. We all want to come back the next day and ride again. So reading through all this : all beginners should stick to the jeep tracks for UPHILL/Climb and go Down the ST if they want to ride the ST! I think i'll stick to Stellebosch mountain as the tracks there is wide enough for everybody! SO Play NICE NOW Guys!!!! clintadam2010-06-10 12:39:10

These guys will definitely be able to help you as they do just about any type of engineering/welding and threading that you can think of. 3. Sorry to hear about this V 6 but it seems that this is the first incident in more than six months. I think these attackers are not local "Stellenbossers". As for Papagaaiberg its a definite NO NO. a Police buddy of mine says there is no/little patrols on that mountain/Hill. I've been cycling @ Stellenbosch Mountain and there is ok enough routes and a plus point is the Patrol that is on top and @ the botom of the mountain. Also spotted the police patrol there last Saturday early that morning. Just a pity the cops were not around when you guys got attacked. Keep safe don't let these bastards get the upper hand. Safe riding!!!!!!! clintadam2010-06-07 11:25:51
  4. Stans sealant is the best for tubeless. I had a a issue Saturday with my tires burping and the Stans sealed it strait away. I just pumped up the back tire again and i was off in no time. As my luck was i had the same issue with my front tyre which was done with Joe's sealant. The tyre did not reseal after the burp. I had to put in my spare tube. The Joe's were sticky and could not seal the side wall! Please try Stans Sealant. Believe me it works.
  5. He gave me some tektro calipers. So sorry if this offended anyone clintadam2010-06-03 12:06:05

  8. What will help with getting used to the dreaded uphill battle for a beginner? Will it just get better with the more saddle time I put in? Could I be approaching the ride wrong? Any and all advice will be appreciated.

  12. My bike next to Stellenbosch Mountain Dam. My brothers Maiden Ride on his Raleigh Explorer My Felt Supalite
  13. My brother got his new Mountain bike last night and took it for a ride this morning. Its a entry level Raleigh but at least it has a shox. Got a real good deal on the Bike. The Trail down next to the Dam always makes the Clime Worth it. Thanx to My cusie Maurido and his Boss @ Masons Bike Inn Stellenbosch. Anybody that needs a bike service Masons is the place.
  14. I prefer to go in the other direction; i.e. climb up past the dam and then bomb down the longer straight section on the east side. You can get some good air over some of the drainage bumps' date=' but be careful there are now some nasty ditches that can catch you out... [/quote'] So where do you go up to get to the Idas Valley DAM. Is it up ou helshoogte RD? I really want to take a ride to there! My babybrother is getting a new bike tomorrow, Maybe we should go up to the Dams tomorrow. I'll here what he says.
  15. Went for another ride this morning. @ Stellenbosch mountain. Was just brilliant. The Down hill next to the DAM was quick. I really forgot how much fun this was!
  16. Took a ride through the mountain @ Coetzenburg this morning. I really forgot how nice it was. Was not a tough a ride as I expected it to be much tougher but it was nice. Will try to go for a ride tomorrow morning again. My FELT bike actually really rides nice. My friend did a good JOB putting this bike together for me. My Brother was a bit tired but I guess he'll do better next time! Saw a lot of people riding in the mountain. Anybody from Idas Valley that rides that trail please let me know!
