Just found out at work I knew the cyclist that passed away. As Ratty had said he flew out in Citrusdal I did not think it could be him. Helluva guy. Will be missed amongst the people that worked with him.

Camelbak can come out with a special bag to hold bow and keep your fluids. I mean you cant shoot a bow and drink from a bottle at same time.

There are lighter like axlightness and Lightweight which is close but at a premium price like the 202's. Might be a welcoming product just for hillclimbs. Something that light surely you will only be using it on special events and spending > 30k on something that hangs on the wall most of the time is a bit silly.

I have a decent large glass jug I chuck my stuff in and the stick blender if its decent can crush ice if needed. Works for me, might not be for everyone else.

I have a smoothie maker that just stands in cupboard. Best thing I ever bought thou is a decent stick blender. The jug stuff is a hassle to clean.

A PPA official was interviewed in Capetalk the other day and he was asked about 1.5m rule. His response was that although it would not always be easy to adhere to or police it would ultimately achieve increasing awareness of cyclists by motorists. It kinda makes sense as with other rules of the road that people are aware of it and sone will break the rule but they are then aware that they are doing wrong. I think the 1.5m rule is atleast a step in that direction because as it us now motorists are not aware of us most tines. If a cyclist is then also in an accident a motorist cannot also just use an excuse like 'I never saw him' and the law would have a law to enforce in a judgement. My 2c.

I will get a carbon one. My bike is heavy enough as it is. Btw it was brought up by PPA on Capetalk on Monday. The goverment is not prepared to deal with administration of it and it would cost too much to implement. As bicycles do not cause any danage to roads as well we are not liable for road taxes.

That specs are near perfect. Personally would have gone for 3T Stealth cockpit to keep it all Euro but thats just me. Nice post splat
