    The Classics

Seems the pros are really not keen on discs. Considering the weather I have only seen Quickstep on discs so far.
  2. Have you ordered the C64 disc yet?
  3. At first glance I thought this was yours but its not specced to your standards. ????
  4. I tried to crop the saddle bag out as much as I could.
  5. Came across this beauty at CTCT. It is a 2010 CF7 Colnago for Ferrari based on an EPS frameset with Super Record 11spd, Fulcrum hoops and integrated handlebar stem. Only 99 were made available to public. Owner is from Germany and this was his 10th Argus.
  6. I am pretty sure it his bike. That blue detail in the decal is not common at all.
  7. I arrived at my chute 20min prior to start and then got bumped down to 3B. Slightly irritated and judging by the unapproachable 'tannies' manning the clipboards I accepted my fate and sat there for almost an hour. Some people really threw a hissy fit about that setup. I am surprised no-one has started a Friday thread as yet.
  8. When they said go.
  9. Is there anyway to query Racetec results. Seems Garmin and Raecte time is out by a few minutes. My Garmin was not on autostop either.
  10. Afaik the team editions were not custom. Their was a white one as well. The only custom ones you could'nt get was the yellow and KOM versions from TDF. If you dnt like the matte finish it can always be redone in gloss without changing the decals.
  11. Is that you Froomey?
  12. I passed the sinkhole in Camps Bay this morning. I doubt it will be fixed by Sunday. They have started pouring concrete as well on the right lane near Sea Point pool bit Bellairs has said according to the city it will not be ready by Sunday. There will be barriers in place from the circle to direct flow.
  13. Bellairs was asked about substitutions on radio this morning and he said the main reason is if you are involved in a crash and unable to speak for yourself they can access emergency medical details for you. I have worked at the race many times and this information is valuable when you treating an unconscious patient.
  14. Congrats. Now you need to get a C40 to see where it all started. When you done with that you gonna need a Master for some nostalgic Sunday rides to the coffee shop.
  15. Is the Froome position not more applicable to Cav and Ewan? Froome looks more like he is the 17% guy.
  16. Finally they have loaded a split time calculator on website. Seems similar though to one posted earlier. Open in Excel and enter your target time in hours and minutes and 'VOILA'! SplittimeCalc2016-1.xlsx

    Sockdoping

My favourite pair even though they clash with most of my kit.
  18. This beauty is for sale in classifieds.
  19. R260. Subs close on 1 March.
  20. Thanks guys. Aiming for sub 3.5 hrs.
  21. Anyone have the time splits for various time targets even if it is from previous years please?
  22. I'm also just learning but I do like reading up on all the history. The inter webs are so full of guys with blogs and reviews sharing their knowledge. It's so much easier being able to find information on these older models.
  23. To commemorate Ferrari's 60th anniversary in 2008 Colnago released the CF4 which used an Extreme Power frameset with the legendary Campagnolo Record 10spd gruppo and Lightweight wheels. Only 60 were made.
  24. Extreme-Power/Extreme-C – introduced 2007. made famous by guys like zabel, petacchi, and rasmussen. • replaced master-profile main tubes with round-profiles. replaced the diamond-cutout HP-stay chainstays with 4-lobed chainstays. extreme-c was a climbing-specific variant with less beefy main-tubes to save weight for the wee little grimpeurs. bottom-bracket went from ITA to BSC, still in titanium though.
  25. C50 variants – introduced 2003-04. made famous by guys like freire and popovych. • mk-1 – as noted above, C40HP with 1.125" front-end spec and larger tube diameters in the main triangle. HP/B-stay rear triangle carried directly over from C40HP. introduced sloping top-tube option. • mk-2 “superlight” – the mk-2 introduced high-modulus carbon and shorter lugs for a nominal weight reduction (revised lugs particularly noticeable @ the seat-cluster, but also at the head-tube and BB). the HP-stay chainstays were reshaped to be slimmer and more gracefully curved (the C40 HP-stays are bulky and almost square in cross-section, whereas the updated superlight C50 HP-stays are trimmer and more rounded in cross-section). during the transition to mk-2 configuration the C75 fork was introduced. the final examples were found with english-threaded BB inserts (still titanium, though). note: there are a small number of “transitional” C50s that have been spotted that mixed mk1-mk2 lugs and chainstays • mk-2.5 – produced in relatively small numbers and known as the "C-50HM" to highlight use of high-modulus carbon that was introduced on the mk-2. this variant just has minor graphics tweaks – red in the “C50” and added “hm carbon fiber” lettering.
