  6. Ha Ha!!! Whatever blows your hair back Goofy!!! Made me giggle a bit though.... At least I afforded you another opportunity for Crux and TCS bashing Not that it bothers me really... Unfortunately, I am afraid that I will probably have to decline your request... Colonel, truth about #4 and #5 in PM
  7. I have started to get the ball rolling to become involved as well
  8. Yep, accrding to website signed off by Vice President - Dave Bellairs
  9. What's the point of the President / Vice President signing off their approval then?
  10. That brings me to the next point!!!! Why wasn't there any questions asked by the President / Vice President of CSA about the validity of the List of ladies selected???? Surely if the President / Vice President truly have the best interest of cycling at heart, they would be well informed about who the athletes are that are at the top of their game during the year, and would take note and query the fact that the current triple SA Champion does not appear on the list. To let that pass unnoticed and approve the list, indicates that they DO NOT have the best interest of South African Cycling and fair representation at heart. They can't claim ignorance, as that is their sole purpose in their elected position at the head of CSA!!!! So they get my vote of NO CONFIDENCE on the whole issue as well
  11. The admission from Erika is also not so clearcut as it seems... Alex Cooper Most Certainly Wanted to be a selector, as that is where he can manipulate the most, and effect his personal choices, as can be seen by the final selection. He isn't doing it for the passion of the sport, he is doing it for his own benefit, Proline's benefit and (most importantly) the benefit of Anriette Schoeman. There was NO GOODWILL here, and NO INTENTION to do it properly either!!!! Erika Green is a sweet girl with really good intentions, and really wants to make a difference in Womens Cycling, but was totally manipulated by Alex into making this one sided selection. The final criteria whereupon the final selection was made, was drawn up by Alex, and was drawn up specifically to include a below par Anriette in the squad, and eliminate current Triple SA Champ Ronel van Wyk from the team to represent SA at worlds. It was confirmed last night by Erika, that the final list of four names were in fact selected by them, (primarily her and Alex Cooper) and that Ronel's name was NOT on that list That clearly indicates that the selection was unfair, one sided and vindictive toward Ronel. So Ronel's name was not removed from the list at Presidential approval level
  12. Owen mentioned that Robert was on the reserve list and was looking to see what his form was like. Pi$$ing the CSA off by winning all remaining races would not bring back the Worlds opportunity
  13. I heard the tandem riders at Lost City say that they were the only ladies tandem on the day. Normally the organisers want a minimum of 5 tandems in a category to compete to contend for prize money. You can't hold these girls ransom because other ladies tandem don't want to enter' date=' but ladies tandem racing is only starting to grow now. I am sure organisers are trying their best to cover all angles.[/quote'] There was actually no prize money for any of the tandems, Mixed or Male, but there was Trophy's for Mixed and Male whereas the was a trophy for Ladies Tandem last year, and none this year, so it's not a question even of minimum 5 Ladies Tandems entered, it wouldn't have made a difference if there was 100 Ladies Tandems, there would still have been no recognition or trophy for Ladies Tandems
  14. Uhmmm.... Nee, daar is nie enige kanale wat sy kon gebruik nie... Dit is een van die dinge waaraan daar ook gewerk moet word....
  15. Well Said Ewep!!!!
  16. Cashandra, So the treatment that Ronel received is acceptable to you???? We should just accept that and move on???? We should just ignore the injustice and give them Carte Blanche to do whatever pleases them, and to do it again and again and again? I'm sorry, but I think not!!!
  17. No... finished dead last in the 50km race, and found out that Barend had taken 3rd place, only for his chip not to register and having to sort that out, took my mind right off the incident... Sorry
  18. MTB or Road Podium
  19. Whilst doing the MTB race, came up to a guy (Entry No 954) who had just finished changing his tube, and were taking off, leaving his punctured tube right there in the middle of the dirt track. Cycled up to him and said: "Don't you think you should pick up your tube and take it with you? It's not really cool to litter like that" His reply: "Why don't you pick it up then?" Me said: "You've got quite a sh*t attitude!!!!" After which the conversation from him deteriorated substantially to F** You, F** Off, F** Arsehole etc, etc!!! So to Mr 954: Nice Going MORSJORS!!!! (Litterbug, for de Ingliesh dudes) We don't actually need arseholes like you in Cycling!!!!!
  20. I am not at liberty to say Cruxpearl2007-08-28 00:40:49
  21. I have it on very good authority that one of them was in fact instrumental and most persistent in having Ronel removed from the list. and, surprise, surprise, it had nothing to do with performance or ability, and everything to do with a personal vendetta!!!! Cruxpearl2007-08-27 13:56:03
