  1. Out of Riverstone turn left and after 100m turn right onto the jeep track past the few houses, ride next to the N14 for +-2km and turn right onto the gravel road, most stunning views of the Cradle from there, then use the gpx file to follow the route. Hard start but good gravel roads. Going out about 2km of tar, coming back about 7km depending how you come back. Excluding the concrete section at Magalies. Most of the N14 section has a wide gravel side.
  2. Here's few options, have fun. Wimpy in Magalies is closed for now so stop at the garage or next to the Spar is also a very nice place. I prefer to start from Riverstone as to avoid the 30km of tar if you start from Bidon or Neck and Deck. 8 hour mini Munga.gpx Riverstone Magalies 98km.gpx Riverstone Magalies 118km.gpx Riverstone Magalies 150km.gpx Bidon_Magalies_ride_.gpx Riverstone_Lodge_Magalies_gravel_ride.gpx
  3. Hi Pieter, send me a DM and I will give you few options from Cradle to Magalies and back, I have various routes from 85km - 150km's. Or you can just download them from my Strava account.
  4. Hi guys, does anyone know off hand which make and model of dual suspension mtb can take 40t or 42t chainring? Info on bikes websites not always very helpful. I know Spec Epic and new Trek SK can take 38t though.
  5. Hi guys, apparently they have re-opened, cannot find info on the internet but someone on FB commented, does anyone know for sure if they have opened? Which trails?
  6. Agree, I tried reading the changes and got lost after second sentence. I blame it on IT okes who have to justify their existence and extremely high hourly charges.
  7. The Rouvy family plan is still in place, you should have kept it, the current annual subs are for new members only. And then you wait for Black Friday or other annual specials - I paid USD 109 for my current annual subs which includes 2 additional family members using the BF promo code in November even though I only paid in April 2023. I don't download videos as it takes time, streaming work exceptionally well (my FTH line is 25mbps) even with 50 plus riders on same video.
  8. Hi there, I ordered the RS belt and it was delivered very quickly, however, I noticed it is about 1.5mm narrower than the existing belt on the Kickr Core. Before I try to exchange the belts - should I be worried about this? Does it make a difference? Advice from the guys who bought it and installed it please.
  9. I know hence the question - why? There used to be a Solo category.
  10. I was planning to attend next year but for some reason only Teams entries available? No Solo? Why not?
  11. Have you or anyone else ordered the RS PRO Timing Belt, 170 Teeth, 850mm Length, 15mm Width belt from RS / BMG and installed it onto the Kick Core? Does it fit and does it work? I need to replace my Kick Core belt soon.
  12. Well, my personal experience is not good at all and I will not buy another set from them. Not just once but twice the rims failed within 1 year of purchase. Providing proof of damage and receiving support from their own distributors did nothing for my case to have them replaced under Lifetime Warranty, the only offer was 50% of RRP which I took the first time (didn\'t know better) but rejected the second time and bought imported carbon rims. For obvious legal reasons I cannot make further public statements but if anyone wants to know the full details of my experience please rather send me a private message and I will explain what happened. The below statement from the website reads great but... \"All South Industries rims are covered by a LIFETIME WARRANTY, to be free from manufacturing defects in material and / or workmanship. We are always in your corner in this regard. This warranty applies to the original owner, who has registered their rims with us, and can provide a date of purchase, as shown on their proof of purchase.\"
  13. If it was 260km of perfectly manicured trails for sure, I'll pay the price too. But it's not, you spend 2/3 of your time riding district roads, farm roads, linking jeep tracks etc.
  14. I just need to understand this correctly, the price per person to enter Sani2C Nonstop is similar to Transbaviaans or 36ONE and little bit more than Cullinan 2 Tondeldoos all of which are similar ultra distance races where organizers provide multiple fully stocked water points that also include food but except medics on standby NOTHING else is provided for this race, just check points with "Coffee, tea and light snacks for sale"? We have to provide everything ourselves? Wow, talking about being seriously ripped off.
  15. And it does look like a Specialized too, just different colour.
