Fortunate soul you. sigh.

Hi all I'd been trying to figure out how to get slime in my new presta valved tubes for the passed few days, only to discover that the valves I have are not the screw-out-able ones. The urge to ride hit me and I decided to go out, armed only with lights, a bomb and an adapter. Adn then I got two punctures... I'd like to thank a few people for keeping me on the road yesterday!!! 1) The guy on the R27 towards Cape Town, just before the Caltex garage who generously gave me two instant patches for the "dubbelkies" I rode through. Dude you saved me a very long and embarrassing walk into town. 2) The guys at action cycling on the corner of loop and something, D and P, you okes helped me getting the slime in those silly tubes and helped me complete this ride and many more to come! You guys almost brought me to tears, it was a real blessing to see okes like that still out there. Anonymous friend and Action Cycling, thank you and well done on being good okes!!!

Hectic! I ride that route quite often. It is tight, I've lodged more then one complaint with the bus operators and they say they take them seriously. But wow. It seems the taxi drivers aspire to be like the bus drivers, or they are at least trying to outdo each other with their hellish driving as if it is something to be proud of. I hope Captain recovers speedily. For those living in the Bloubergstrand area, the cycling pavement lane is 99% complete from Bayside all the way to the Artscape theatre in town. It is a good quality surface with a good 1-2 meters from the road and is a pleasure to ride, worth trying. Be safe.

Intense Ja I'll check it out this afternoon. It seems pretty strange to make a tube with a non-removable valve though. Shot for the help okes. Karoo to Coast here I come!

Oi. Going to a mate of mines farm this weekend, its ust of the R327. Does anyone know of any good MTB routes out there. I'm keen for a bit more then just dirt road.

Hi I'm new to Presta valves and am struggling to get the valve out in order to slime up the tube. (One step at a time, tubless will follow...) How the flip do I get the vavle out? I tried a long-nose pliers but it felt like I was going to strip the valve and ruin the tube. Any Operating Experience?

I recently bought one of the 900 lumen Magicshine lights. It is insane. I use it to cycle to work in the mornings and it does what I need and more. And the buddy I bought it from is a legend too so it helps with the after-sale service. Gets my vote!

I'm hoping someone can help me out here. Looking to get a Giant Anthem X2 for the Sabie Experience, and then future XC races. It'll be my first dual suspension bike. I thought of a carbon hard-tail, but I'm a bit skeptical when it comes to everyday care for the frame; stuff like having the bike fall over in my garage and damaging the frame. Anyway. Also heard that the standard Fox 32 F100RL can be a bit soft for a heavier rider. How does the Rock Shox SID team compare? And then, does the standard Fox Float RP2 shock come out with a lockout?
