  1. Just finished watching “the spy” on Netflix with sacha baron cohen and it was flippen brilliant. Excellent story and excellent acting. https://youtu.be/5UijUOy0MmE' class='bbc_url' title='External link' rel='nofollow external'> https://youtu.be/5UijUOy0MmE
  2. We were initially as I had family there willing to sponsor and offer jobs etc but the more I looked into it the more I knew it wasn't for me. Primarily lifestyle driven we have just started the process for New Zealand which is just a much better fit for my family.

  4. Modern day relationship advice: find someone who likes to watch the same shows/movies as you do. They should have a sub-category on tinder for that.
  5. Had to go in to SARS on the 12th to update banking details (after completing return already online) ... money finally in the bank on 31st July
  6. Either last night or this this morning in blouberg apparently (dont quote me on this)...“Hiers n vet fokkop!” https://youtu.be/Z3BJm4yA698 Really the last thing you want to have happen to you! I feel for this family.
  7. Its hard to believe that this is in the middle of the city suburbs... feels a world away. Also that I can do it during my lunch hour... a very nice way to break a long tedious day in front of a computer screen.
  8. Im wondering what gives... did my return on the 28th and still no payment from SARS. My bank details changed since last return and I updated them before submitting and SARS hasn't asked for any separate verification. Anybody else in this situation?
  9. Mine shows the same... filed mine on the 28th when it was still the old system. Last year it took 48hrs, this year its a week and still counting.
  10. This is what im most grateful for... and very grateful I am indeed... as most of us know that any encounter with a car has the potential to end really badly. As frustrating as it is I am very happy to be fixing a wheel rather than broken bones.
  11. Okay... not my finest moment or a great way to start the day. So this morning on my commute in to work I got hit by a car. Despite wearing a high-vis jacket and being lit up and following a car around a circle in a dedicated cycle lane, this mornings motorist didnt want to stop entering the circle and hit me from the side/rear trying to squeeze behind the car I was following around the circle. She claimed the sun was in her eyes and didnt see me. Im fine albeit slightly shook up and I did a bike check while she was there and my bike seemed fine at the time as well. So I said its fine in not the happiest tone and we went our ways. Except I now notice my rim is slighly bent and my hub has got some very minor play. This topic is called... Things Ive learnt while Commuting. Today I have learnt that even if you are in shock and everything seems okay. Get the persons details (I did not for which I am an Idiot) because now I have to try and get my rear wheel fixed on the only bike I own and I definitely do not have the budget to do this at the moment . FFS.
  12. Ive made this mistake too! As much as it was fun pimping out a bike for your kiddo as a holiday project, it certainly was not a cost saving exercise!
