I'm in the market for a new Tri Watch. I currently have the Suunto Spartan trainer, but was really disappointed in the watch from the start. Very inaccurate swimming stats, Suunto's training software is borderline useless and can't upload training programs in the watch. So I need something that can help me towards my first Full IM. The new Garmin 945 and has caught my eye, also the Fenix 6 Pro. The Polar Vantage V also looks like a solid watch

Can someone please point me in the right direction. Momentum is of no assistance. I'm trying to hit private club this year, and the only way that I'm going to achieve this is by taking out one extra product. I already have life cover and a will at Momentum. Medical and short term insurance is not an option, so that leaves retirement or savings? What are the options that will cost me the less out of pocket.

No, you will be stuck on 1240 points for family or 620 for a single person and will only reach Gold status. You will be able to reach platinum if you had that one product for more than 3 years

Thanks. Unfortunately I don't have a power meter. I train with one (Kickr) and from that I got an idea on what my heart rate was during different training sessions, and what my Heart rate needed to be on the bike during my race. Must say I was left in the dark when I got onto my bike and there was no reading from my heart rate monitor. Pacing is everything on the bike as well as the run, and need something that works. Last year I tried the wrist based, but it was very inaccurate, and can also throw you mentally off if your watch shows your wrist based heart rate is 85% plus, and your not even going fast or feeling tired

What heart rate monitors do you use for tri's? I'm struggling with my Wahoo Tickr. I wore it during my swim at IM70.3 Durban, and it just did not work after that the whole bike and run leg. Edit: I don't care for heart rate data during my swim. I had it on to save time during transition

It's recommended to perform a spin down after each workout, and especially after you have transported the machine and did a new setup. I have a Kickr 4, and do spindowns once week
