  9. Howzit, yes, there is a Garmin so we could put up the route as well. The itenerary is more or less as follows: Depart: 04h00 from Sandton. First Quick stop: Hartbeespoort dam for a bite. Second stop: Brits for Breakfast. Third: Lunch at Assen. Fourth: mid-afternoon snack or something (by this time we would have lost our sense of humour). Last stop: Thabazimbi. If you join then we will have space for 2 riders, more than that, your spouse/partner/whoever will have to join you to give you a lift back...unless you want to ride back but then you're on your own!

  18. I got a magicshine light, although the wiring is 'cumbersome' it is seriously bright and you get a tail light with it. I got one from Morningside Cycles in Jozi for R2,200 for the 1400 lumen one and went for my first night ride in Sabie on Friday. It was just the bomb, so bright that I'm surprised that I didn't burn the forests down, although the dude in front of me got some serious burns on his legs haha!

  21. Hey guys I was in Sabie this past weekend with mates and want to say thanks to Manus and the guys from "Cyclejunkies" up there for good service. We got there late Friday afternoon and stopped at their shop to find out about the routes around there. Manus was very helpful and him and I went on a nightride through the forests. Not only was he exceptionally easy to get along with but gave me some good tips and tricks for cycling. I got a bad puncture and he helped me patiently to try fix it, which didn't work and his colleagues from the shop gave me a lift to the lodge. On Saturday morning he helped me to fix my pedals, set my shocks, and tune my derailleur - FOR FREE! Thanks guys, you are passionate about cycling and people! Niel
  22. Howzit all! I rode with a mate of mine who lives in the area and another friend from Jozi. We did 65km in 3h13, climbed 580 metres. Was tons of fun and some cool downhills. On Sunday we went for a leisurely ride on the bikes and did 40km. Great area to ride in.
