  1. Good evening all. So I got my hands on a prestine condition Peugeot Competition 2000ish model, could be late 90s. Serial number: ST98080074 I'm battling to find any info with the serial number. Websites only give the codes up to 1980s. If anybody can point me in the direction of a good website I will really appreciate it. Shimano Rsx 2x7 groupset. Just have a look at the immaculate condition of paint job.
  2. Hi there Roul. I would suggest going through AliExpress. Please make sure to change delivery from free delivery to a courier company. It will add R500 to R1500 to the price but believe me its worth it. The post office will be used if you use free shipping and they are useless. I got a Sensah 2x11 about 3 years back, used it for a year with no problems, upgraded to di2. Its a very durable make. The lever issue from years back has been sorted out. Also check out Ltwoo. Im not a big fan personally but i think it's a little cheaper. Tvs cycles do imports of sensah but they do have a markup. Good luck there. Arrie
  3. Only saw this post now. Thank you JBR. I wonder if Shimano will reply with a 107 di2?
  4. https://www.cyclingnews.com/news/sram-announces-new-rival-etap-axs-groupset/ This is awesome news. This will bring wireless e-shifting to alot more people. Just a quick recap for those that do not know. Sram's tier system goes like this: Sram Red - very light, very expensive Sram Force - little bit heavier than Red, little bit less expensive Sram Rival - heavier than Force, less expensive than Force You could compare Sram Rival to Shimano 105 but remember that this new Rival axs etap is 12 speed with that amazing 10tooth small cog on cassette. This means you can run smaller chainrings on the crank. Here's a nice review from the GCN guys.
  5. Thank you Frosty for doing the route. It looks like there will be less elevation gain. In 2019 elevation gain was 1498m.
  6. Thank you so much for all the replies and advice. I will let you guys know.
  7. I have a set of 700c rims for anyone that needs it. Rear wheel 140mm hub, the freehub is a little sticky, lbs serviced it, it's better now but might need replacing. arrieveer@gmail.com
  8. Good day all So my wife and I have been cycling on a tandem since last year. We can only cycle on Saturdays or Sundays, so only 4 times a month. We do 60kms on saturday rides with the club and 100kms plus on Sundays. We do 1 Sunday ride a month. So we are not getting enough riding time, we are in the back of the slow group doing 19 - 22kmh ave. So I got us a second hand trojan spin bike. My question to you guys, what cadence sensor can I install on the spin bike? My wife and I both have garmin watches. But I would have to re-assign the cadence sensor to the particular watch each time. That doesn't take that long, does it? Are there cheap non gps bike computers that have cadence sensors?
  9. Hi there. If you do not come right with renting a tandem please give me a shout. I'm based in Edenvale. My wife and I recently got a tandem. We have our own bikes too so maybe we could even do a ride together? You guys could borrow the tandem and we'll be on our own bikes.
  10. Good day all. I've started a group on Facebook for tandem cyclists. Anyone is welcome to join. It will be nice to share pictures, videos and routes. Also help each other with advice. https://www.facebook.com/groups/975654046191952/?ref=share
  11. Hi there Boab. The bamboo bike is on hold at the moment, money tight for parts. But I will post as soon as I make progress.
