Ok, it looks like its between the Giant and the Scott then... another question - must I buy a 3 year older frame because its carbon(spark), or a new aluminium one(anthem)?? Thanks all for your input so far.

Ok, so I decided to let go of my "old" frame and upgrade. Just want to upgrade the frame, so here is the few I have in mind. Which one will you choose? And why? I'm not going to put prices with - I just want your opinion without you looking at prices. Don't look at the specs on these bikes - it's for the frame only. Here goes: Scott Spark 30 (carbon) 2008/2009? Giant Anthem X (aluminium) 2011 Bianchi Caal 8000 (aluminium) not sure about year Sintesi 505 (aluminium) 2011 Specialized epic , but I can't find a small in my price range.... So, what do you think? Please help. Thanks!

What wheels are those - very nice looking!!

I was thinking the same thing the other day. You see a lot of Bianchi road bikes, and a few hardtail MTbikes, but not so many duel suspensions around. Any owners out there, and what do you have to say? The few MTbikes I've seen are looking stunning!

Skollie, sal graag fiets wil toets op sinkplaat maar ek kry die fiets in die stad so sal maar die sypaadjies op en af ry. BigBen, so what you say is that the first few bumps of the sinkplaat i will feel there after as smooth as any of the other full suspensions!?

Oorweeg dit om n ouer Epic (2004) te koop. Weet die Brain sit die shock "aan" met groot stampe, maar wat gaan hy maak met 'n sinkplaat pad?

My husband found a toolbag on one of his rides last week. It's full of nice stuff!! Must be worth a few Rand...Found on the mountain going over from Ouberg road to the Rietvlei road. (near Montagu) I know it's just a toolbag, but maybe its got sentimental value to someone...

Bought this 2002 model in September this year (obviously 2ndhand) and I like it so much, I just have to brag!! Did a lot of upgrades - next is the handlebar and seatpost. (any suggestions on the colour etc?) Anyway, I'm not a racer, but I love MTB - it's a wonderful sport! To all of you reading this - have a great Christmas and a wonderfull New Year!!
