  1. Great Will add you to the list.
  2. I usually train in the afternoons both during the week and weekends. There are showers at Groenkloof but I would prefer not going to work looking like a drenched rat every morning. You probably ride at almost double my speed but perhaps we could coordinate our training routes so that we intersect every now and again and can keep a check on each other.
  3. I have just seen this on a website and this is the first I've heard of it. Anyone know anything about this? I always buy the black bib shorts. http://www.winstanleysbikes.co.uk/product/5476/Assos_FI_13_Mille_Bib_Shorts "Please Note: Assos clothing is colour rated for the temperature exposure: Red: 12-18 degrees Blue: 8-16 degrees Titan: 6-12 degrees Yellow: 0-8 degrees Black: -6-+6 degrees "
  4. Wasn't snapping at you Mandibles I used to be in the police and just get a bit frustrated when a station with maybe 2/3 vehicles is magically supposed to be everywhere all at once. Hat off to you though being proactive' date=' that's what we need... and no riding by yourself there anymore, find yourself a nice lad to ride with. [/quote'] I'm busy making a list of nice lads. Anyone (male or female) who is interested in joining me for some slow rides at NF and/or Groenkloof is welcome to PM me and I'll try get a training group together.

    Mtb Shoes

I pull the inner soles out and let them dry on their own. They dry overnight.

I also put mine in the washing machine. Mine don't have any bling bits though. Have been washing my mtb shoes in this manner for many years and it doesn't seem to cause any issues.
  7. Suikerbos is great for the roadies but not for mtb'ers.
  8. I don't think any venue is totally safe anymore. I'm currently training for a stage race and have to do 4-5 hr flattish rides on Sundays. Northern Farm was perfect for this. No matter where I ride, even if I start when there are crowds around it ends up quiet at the end of my ride.
  9. I agree Cat-i. I have spent a lot of time riding there on my own. Looks like I'm going to have to train on my IDT as I cannot risk doing long rides at the Farm anymore. Glad no one got injured. I'm actually not surprised by the incidents though.
  10. I've just received this email. Take note that today's incident was on the farm itself. Dear Mandy, <?: prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /> There have been a number of incidents at or near the farm in the last few weeks. Regrettably this is a sign of the times. Last weekend cyclsists were hijacked near Heronbridge College, and a car was stolen form the farm. On Wednesday a cyclist was hijacked on the Hills and Dales road and today there was an attempted hijacking on the farm. As I understand it, the perpetrator did not get away with the bicycle and was chased off by a farm worker. He was subsequently caught. The lady who was the victim of this incident did not hang around and we need her to urgently make contact with me on 0824148604. We have placed a car guard at the car park and implemented patrols on the farm utilising young men from Diepsloot who have been involved in the development project. We strongly recommend that you do not ride on your own during this time and particularly the ladies and also recommend that you avoid the Hills and Dales road outside of the farm. Regards Simon Nash Northern Farm MTB Representative

  12. No, not mocking you mtbNoob. I will never mock someone about their spelling. Some of the most intelligent people I know battle with their spelling. Two of my friends who have their doctorates are very poor spellers! I believe that you're either good at it or not. It is not something that one can master by studying hard etc. Just having a little fun with Spud. He knows that I'm teasing him.
  13. Some people just dont know when to use or not use apostrophe's. Is that better? M'u'c'h b'e't't'e'r, t'h'a'n'k's.
  14. you said it wrong' date=' she's a laaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaydeeeeeeeeeeeeeee![/quote'] What I meant is "treat her like the laaaaaydeeee she is". I am not surprised that there are so few ladies on the Hub. The treatment that some of female Hubbers receive at times is embarrassing and disrespectful.
  15. I'm sure Dirt*girl's husband entertains her enough. Best you guys behave and treat her like a lady.

  17. I also raise my finger but get real rude replies !!!! Should I rather raise my thumb and not middle finger ? The middle finger is fine. Just raise your index finger as well and the rude replies will cease. Peace!
