  1. Would cost you a mint to check them out in PMB anyway!
  2. This isn't a rant, nor a name and shame, just an observation. Went to three Cycle shops to buy a Fizik Gobi saddle: Shop 1: R2550 Shop 2: R1850 Shop 3: R1295 Well worth the R20 diesel to drive the 10km radius.

  4. Thanks Droo, tried that. There seems to be a black plastic "thingy" in the way, preventing cable from being pushed out.
  5. Have removed black plastic lug where you insert new cable. When I push old cable out, it changes the gear, wont come out. Have tried clicking up and down but nothing working.
  6. Going to put 26" inch wheels on the forward facing bikes to reduce wind drag.
  7. Hi PhilipV. This was originally a "Ventertjie" with tiny wheels on, 10" I think. Have now put on 13" tyres and rims. Have thought about bouncing but hopefully will be heavy enough, (especially with water tank full), to prevent too much bouncing. Will add shocks if excessive.
  8. Endura Humvee from CRC R840/pair
  9. Thanks, last bits became a drag, but was fun doing.
  10. Need to get correct size gas bottle.
  11. And all done.
  12. Indeed! Fresh water, hot coffee at start, cold beer at finish (camping fridge in car) and camping chairs. In theory, life will be good on the trip.
  13. Dankie ou Bees.
  14. Gas bottle holder bolted on. Now for all the cosmetic cr@p.
  15. Water cannister in place to be strapped on. Thule's fitted.
  16. Thanks DJR. Unfortunately the Disco isnt mine, but are planning some dirt roads in Zim. Will definitely strap front end of bikes down. As you say, too much sideways movement, always looks as if they're going to "bliksem" off when checking in mirror.
  17. Need to fit Roofracks (Crossbars) and Thule's then we're done!
  18. Lots of paint to hide the welds.
  19. Frame bolted on, sheeting after rugby.
  20. Jockey wheel welded on.
  21. Yip, very strong Velcro Band, made by Back country in Seattle. Doesn't budge or chafe tube. Simple and quick. Never had issues with stones or punctures.
  22. And adorned by a magnificent bike as well!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
