  1. I dont know who's *** idea it was to have a mampoer and beer table, hurt like **** on the last loop. Thanks okes for a very cool weekend. many daisy giggles.
  2. Yip all sorted, thanks See you tomorrow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  3. done and paid the loot. @ thug, is there food at the camping place? Im ok on red wine but bringing some soft friends.
  4. Good post Tombeej.
  5. A documentary on Statins: http://www.abc.net.au/catalyst/stories/3881441.htm
  6. Joberg 2 C route in the backround, about 2km from Kenmo lake sleepover. I watch all the buggers suffering from my stoep!
  7. Only need to get a gobi, then all is done. Loads of fun.
  8. Done at last.
  9. So I relented: Before After: And Finally:
  10. So much pressure. Will ride with the tensioner this week, then try the chain tug. Never realised going single was more about being cool than HTFU.
  11. Ja I hear you, but as I said earlier, I only have a chaintug for the drive side, so a bit worried about wheel creep on the non-drive side. Have horizontal slide dropouts.
  12. Thanks Neill71. Took the guide off, squeezed it in a vice to open up the gaps, chain tug off, doofer on, and all seems to be fine after a quick spin around the garden. Will try longer ride during the week but hopefully all sorted. Gotta love the hub.
  13. Thanks Cycho, I don't think it was due to "wrap", new cog and chain. Maybe I must try and bend the chain guide open and see if that works. I think I prefer the Doofer (if I can get it ti work correctly) to the chain tug.
  14. YBN S20H RB. Is it maybe too wide for the chain guide on the jockey wheel?
  15. So took the OnOne for its maiden voyage. So much of sadness overwhelming my body. The Doofer chain tensioner seems to climb then release making it feel as if the chain is slipping on the rear cog. Checked chain allignment, seems straight. Removed the Doofer, shortened the chain and now run it without Tensioner but using a chain tug. No more slipping. So what was the problem with the Doofer? Also now only have one chain tug. If that is on the drive side will I get wheel creep on the non-drive side.
  16. TUNARIAAN -You can do it. Very rewarding. I think 80% of the fun of having a singlespeed is building it up with bits borrowed and begged.
  17. They only have 104 BCD. Have emailed them today, will see what happens.
  18. Thanks, now I must go for a HTFU Testosterone jova and start riding it.
  19. 32 Tooth 102 BCD
  20. Just finished. Still need new 102 BCD Chain ring (subtle hint if anyone knows where I can purchase one) as well as tensioner or half link chain. New Gobi for PYGA and then old Gobi to replace this saddle.
  21. So did my first LCHF race today. Please note that "my" racing is most probably your okes fun ride. 45 km Drak Challenge in Underberg. Last night dinner: stew and veg. Breakfast: Scrambled egg, bacon and coffee. No problems on ride, felt good all the way, only 1 bottle of water, but the weather was quite cool. Nothing to eat at all. When I think of the cr@p I used to eat before and during a short ride/race I shudder. Definitely on the right track (singletrack), still need to consider the Cholesterol and Statins issue.
  22. Ratchet strap the Thule onto rails on trailer lid. Doesn't move an inch and you've got the best of both.
  23. Had posted this earlier, so at the risk of flaming for repeating: Recently done 5 day stage race in Zambia. Did not eat any carbs while there which is quite difficult in the bush. Breakfast was scrambled egg and bacon and coffee. Rode 5 days quite hard between 50 and 110 km per day. Only water on the bike and biltong for snacks. Ate plenty of cheese for lunch and lots of meat at dinner.Never felt like bonking or low energy. Very happy with whole low carb stage race thing, it can be done.
  24. @ tedibear. Where did you get the chainring made? I need a 102BCD cut for SS project. Thanks
  25. @ Dave, pretty much exactly where I am, weight also around 75-76 now, depending on night out and red wine. I am not controlled enough to count carbs or ketones, but what I've done has had a huge effect. No obvious carbs and lots of veggies which do include butternut and sweet potato. Still on Statins, not sure if it is worth the risk to live with high cholesterol, (despite all the conspiracy theories re medical companies).
