This my latest read. It's a biography which looks at how biographies should be written or told, as well as a great document of Kerouac's life and work.

Kindle is cool, like Flippa says, but I am a print romantic. Like hard copies of newspapers, mags and books. Sure you can get stuff cheaper online, but browsing second hand book shops for stuff is a pleasure.

Didn't go to the track - was at the bike shop in the morning, and there was racing at HNP later. Took it out on the roads around my burbs. Funnily enough, I am looking for a 26.8 for an old MTB sorta rebuild...and coming up short for now too! Oh, well, the fun is in the search, right?! Will keep my eyes open for both of us!

I don't have much to show.... riding other stuff and, you know, life are getting in the way... But I was determined to at least ride her this weekend. The handlebar is mostly straightened although one drop could come up slightly more still, and I just grabbed a cheapie box of stitched tape for now. Most disappointed by the seatpost...the Cinelli one is missing, and I ended up slotting in a very scratched Laprade, so I will be on the hunt for some 26.8 stuff like loosecog too! Cheapies pedals too...apparently we are going to Ron's place in the next week...like we were supposed to last week and the week before... Anyhows...apart from the huge toe overlap - not so sure about the fork all of a sudden... - she rides beautifully! Nippy and just a wee bit nervous! Love it! Okay, now to get properly stuck in now that I have got a ride out of it! Will post some more pics on Monday...just stealing from free wifi for the moment...

This is my quick go-to meal at the local...the focaccia bread. Okay, the waiting staff were taking the piss the day this was taken as there's been a longstanding joke about how much butter it needs...my mate calls it a BDV: butter-delivery vehicle.

I had a chicken pasta sald, some dried mango, a custard thingie and speckled eggs. Having an chai latte* now. *Instant and tasty.
