  3. I cant find mule bars any where. Tried Food Bars, very similar to mule bars.
  4. small Hijack.. Triple or dual crank?
  5. XTR was my first choice, thanks for confirming. Plus it is cheaper than the XX and it is freaking sexy too. Thanks.
  6. @ Deonketch I am not sure whether to get the 2011 XTR or the SRAM XX. Would you recommend getting the 2011 XTR?

  8. If I had a budget of 6k, I would first check the classifieds. Also take someone knowledgeable with you when going to view used bikes. In the 6K range I would take the bike with the best components.
  9. That S-Works is hot, lucky man. 1 more q. I can also get a new 2010 S-Works Robaix. If I went with Roubaix, should I take the current 2011 SL3 PRO or go with last years S-Works?
  10. Hi, I mountain bike and on the odd occasion (Argus) ride a road bike. Not to long ago I purchased a used Silverback Detroit Road bike and blinged it out with new everything. Turns out the Silverback frame is too big. So my options are 2011 Scott Addict R2 Frame 2011 Specialized Tarmac SL3 PRO 2011 Specialized Roubaix SL3 PRO I am leaning towards the Roubaix because it has a more relaxed geometry.

    Riser bar

And looking at your ride..you seem to have the same issue as me..Go high rise bar and leave the stem exactly where it is now..you will notice a difference. You will have more confidence on the drops. If your hands start to pain or and go numb during longer rides with you existing setup then the high rise bar could put an end to the pain.

    Riser bar

I went with High Rise bars because I did not have enough steerer left to get the bar to the height that was needed for the setup to be comfortable. I like my mtb setup with seat and handle at the same height; it takes pressure off the nads on the climbs and lets me shift my weight far back past the seat for steep down sections/drops.This is on a specialized Epic.
  13. How does one clean and oil a mavic hub without noticing the broken pawl before reassembly and testing?
  14. Hi, I had a similar problem with my crossmax SLR.. When I free wheeled it was as if the cassette was sticking to rim and chain would go slack. Got good advice from Mark at Crown cycles. I removed the body from the hub and gave everything a good clean/ wipe. Then put a couple of drops of mineral oil (pedro road rage) in the body just enough to fill 3 of the grooves in the body. Also rubbed some oil on the rubber seal that sits between the body and the rim. Had no problems after...This is suppose to be a basic service and should be done regularly. Hope this helps
  15. Yip, stank like flippen toilet.
  16. I only did the Grape Escape I weigh 73kg Back Tire : Maxxis Cross Mark UST - 2.2 bar Front Tire : Maxxis Mono Rail UST - 2.0 bar (It does tend to wash but it is controlled and predictable, hope this makes sense) I rode some crap lines and thought my side walls were slashed coming out of it but they held up just fine, pitty I cant say the same for the rims. It was also amazing on the soft sandy bits. Good Luck and enjoy your Epic.
