  1. Rain let up for a bit now so squeezed in 20km this morning. Went Cambridge to Arnoldton via old Spoornet access roads and back. Muddy as hell but great fun.
  2. Winner Name Prize Entry Number ALISON KATZEFF Cypher Zeus W1261
  3. Anyone know when the draw is? Its been 3 days since closing of the campaign.
  4. I prefer to play it safe. Those anchors I posted butterfly behind the drywall with about a 30mm flanged star pattern. They will not pull out unless you excert a lot of force on them amd break away a chunk of wall.
  5. It will hold if the drywall is in good condition and you use the correct hollow wall anchors. They mount tvs in hospitals on drywall amd ceilings with hollow wall anchors. But a stud will be even better.
  6. The boast is the el cheapo wallmounts from takeshit.com Perfect for granny flat bike storage [emoji108]
  7. On this topic, I bought a used SDG Bel Air from a hubber and it is fantastic. I want another one for my trail bike. Pfff yeah right, I cannot find one anywhere. If any of you saddle guru's can point me at one that would be great Preferrebly one of the mesh variety.
  8. The smell clings whether you touched or not. I am referring of course to the perfume, i think it is standardised between all the girls. Maybe corporate guidelines. Also I was last at a teasers when it was still the old man who owned it. Not sure what's happening with those joints these days lol.
  9. You never really go do you? Otherwise you wife would know the smell is the indicator. Its always the smell. I had a girl-friend who could smell tell the next morning when we were at teasers the night before.
  10. I also used a 160 to 180 but had to throw in about 2.5mm of washers. I dont like washers though. Will grab the correct adapter if I find it anywhere.
  11. What spacer did you use? Assuming your fork also takes a 180mm direct mount?
  12. I am still leaning towards these at the moment. https://www.evobikes.co.za/product/shimano-br-mt501-disc-brake-set/ The braver I become the more I feel unsure about brakes. Some sponginess crept back in.
  13. Just got back from a 30km loop. I am fortunate to stay just other side the railway line. So I can take advantage of all the disused service roads that Spoornet abandoned in almost a loop back to my place.
  14. You guys don't like fat tires on trail bikes? Keep them safe I'll buy them off you in the end. Logistics is the only issue with these OEM tyres as they all steel beads I assume?
  15. This is a trifold impossibility. 1. I have zero comparitive experience on any dual suspension 2 wheeled transport. 2. I am still too heavy to use this bike to its potential, so I am just taking it easy when on it. (Need to get rid of another 20kg first, dropped my first 20kg today since 1 August) 3. I spent about 100km on it now and then I trained 3 days on the hardtail last week, took friday off, and discovered a haemorrhoid from hell on saturday. (I think I might get back on the saddle tomorrow, took almost a week off it - sadly it is still there, but it is shrinking finally - if you feel this is tmi I apologise in hindsight)
  16. yet not too chonkers. I am down to a 42 from a 46 and still I am left without fox baggies. Look ODO is a clearance outlet, thats why we get the prices, to get rid of FOX's left overs. Youll see it is the same odds listed at fox online store. What is even worse, whatever they sold directly in the last 48 hours is also listed on ODO although it is already sold out, so some buyers will still get that Dear John in a week or so. Meanwhile they are pulling interest on the financed sales done today, and refund you only the one item that is out of stock from your order.
  17. Gorgeous bru I like it
  18. How is the nerves on the eve of arrival bud?
  19. Nor can you deny the public passage without spending some tokens at the very least at a magistrate to authorise you to close the throughfare. And if you really want to fight it wait outside for a couple of community members to show up and get them on board to protest the closure of the safe passage. it is 2020 you need to know how to manipulate popular narratives to get your way. Like: Peviously disadvantaged communities forced to use unsafe detours because land owner is refusing access to historical throughfare after years of not enforcing it.
  20. I hear you, but if a commercial/rural property is left unoccupied and open to the public he does not have the right to assault a trespasser on sight. You have the right to protect your person too and protecting your life trumps him protecting his dirt road from 2 more tyre tracks.
  21. I haven't figured out a nice spot to carry my 9mm on the bike, it just does nott stay in my baggies. Regardless of crime being an issue does he really think middle aged men on bicycles are coming to rob or murder or steal stock?
  22. Yes old tube and cable ties. Also cut up the tyre that I ruined and tied it to the frame below BB. I had the 2.6 on the rear since I got the bike and there is no issues. Swapped to a 2.4 icon for a few days until my extra set of Goodyear 2.6 arrived. The tyres are very rounded due to the rim and tyre combination so you have the rolling resistance of a 2.2 tyre really and just more grip down the sidewalls for cornering.
  23. Nope just rotor. Uses the same pad. The calipers can only take one size. I was thinking of getting 4pot brakes from Evo but the tektro ones came to the party since bedding in on the new discs.
  24. That's it. Going very well. Got another escape so I've fitted the original tyres back on with no tubes. Haven't ridden it since the tyres were sorted though. Will next weekend hopefully.
  25. I am quite heavy but the 180/160 combo on my hardtail is sufficient, it did not hold up on the Norco though. Not sure if the FS1 he ended up getting has much better brakes, looked like basic shimano on there, step up form tektro on the fs3 probably, but with the extra weight and the fat wheels the 203mm does well. Managed to get them working with the tektro units, with a lot more condifence.
