  1. The front is begging to be 203 if your fork allows it. No matter what spacer I got still needed to shim a few washers in there to space it out. Then move the 180 to the back. Cycles United had rt66 203 rotors for 300 bucks.
  2. Get the rockshox app and select your height weight and suspensions there. Itll give you a baseline to start from. The Norcos do not come with pumps. Order one this weekend so it arrives with the bike by wednesday. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.SRAM.TrailheadTuningApp
  3. Any efficiency you lose due to bobbing will only make you stronger in the long run [emoji28]
  4. VPS also works very well. I get it from Autostyle type stores. Its used for headlights and the like for chip and sandblast protection.
  5. Could be worse, you could be the guy at Spar.
  6. Removing the duplicate, LTE drama.
  7. I remember my oupa wearing those very short pt shorts and worse old faded rugby shorts around the garden, these are still better than either those. At least your mamba cant hang out of these lol. I am fat, elastic is my friend. Ill get some fancier baggies when i settle in at my goal weight sometime next year.
  8. I jumped on a pair of those decathlon st100 baggies as well as a pair of the padded undershorts to use with my anatomic baggies. This place is quite cheap, how is the quality of the products? Also nabbed a floor pump as my current one only works on schrader valves.
  9. I fear to find a bike like this with no owner is ominous to the owners current circumnstance. I take it I understand correctly, someone found this abandoned somewhere?
  10. Yeah PE did me a good price. Upsold me a few items at very reasonable cost although I declined the tubeless conversion at 2.35 tyres replacing 2.6 that ships on the bike. Glad I didnt get tyres then as I popped one of the goodyears on the exhaust on my way back from PE. Got a replacement from them at a great price as they had some trade in from a previous customer took both as I am very happy with the goodyears overall performance at the back and front. Running them tubeless now. [emoji1696]
  11. I wear a 44 and cannot find anything sadly. Ended up getting anatomic baggies, no liner or padding, just a nice fitting thick fabric, it is surprisingly durable considering its stretchy lycra type material. https://weardirect.co.za/shop/mens-cycling/mens-black-baggies/ at the price worth a gamble no? I wish they made them in longs. I have a surface vericose that is prone to rupturing for any little bump and that really has me worried for the trail.
  12. I want to but I am scared shitless after watching those videos. Will probably come up for the day to spectate a little, unless I manage to get up there before then and see if this is something id actually ride and not leave the mountain in a helicopter.
  13. FML bru I dont understand how this works. I wont name names but it is 4 weeks after I asked my LBS what they can get in my budget and I am still listening to the crickets in the background. Cycles United accosted me with livechats while browsing their site, pointed me at the branch in PE for an XL frame and voila been riding it for almost 2 weeks already. Do some places not want to do business?
  14. I did wow small world
  15. Hardtails come in XXL (23") Some companies make full sus in XXL also but the pricing is insane from the point of view my wallet has... Trek Santa Cruz and YT go figure.
  16. Did you notice that the medium norco is a 27.5 You should look at a large. I wish I could have bought a size up but sadly I am at the top of the sizing spectrum. I had a hell of a time finding an XL frame never mind a XXL nobody seems to import in Full Sys. Or did you want the 27.5 configuration?
  17. I guess it eats itself, definitely losing some muscle as well when you do that.
  18. The one for R350 is probably head office who uses a lot of courier to get bikes to stores etc, so thier account caters for heavy discounts. DSV charges around 1K to a non account holder for a bicycle box including 25k content insurance. Bigfoot also around there. Courier Guy you will get away cheaper but when the box turns up folded in half, they will tell you to get fricked. Edit: That said I hope they are not quoting you to deliver your brand new purchase because I will tell them to get fricked if this is the case. Cycle lab delivered my 6k hardtail for free.
  19. You should ring up the agents and see how they will handle a warranty issue if it arises. They may have a friendly LBS close to you on thier payroll that handles their CTN customers although they don't stock the brand.
  20. I understand why guys who race buy cleats, they need every grain of advantage they can get to be the fastest. But for leisure and just training etc, so what if you lose some efficiency, you are working even harder to do less from a training/fitness point of view this is better?
  21. I struggle with shoes in South Africa, size 12 and cycling seems few and far between in my budget always. I got lucky here with size and price, you will notice they are all sold out, there were 3 pairs of 47 a month ago, all 3 of them are on my shelf now. Very few places seem interested in bringing in flat shoes of quality. Edit: Forgot the link https://freewheel.co.za/products/skitch?_pos=1&_sid=00e65b80c&_ss=r
  22. I had to drive 300km for mine... Coimbra Cycles in PE has stock, I think thats the shortest drive from you where you will find one as Cycles United are the only agents for them from my understanding. Quinton there sorted me out.
  23. Thx I'll pull the trigger once I've chatted to my boet to see if he needs anything.
  24. Giant Flat Pedals. Paid R450 at my LBS. https://bike-addict.co.za/products/giant-core-alloy-flat-pedal
  25. Anyone has stamps to put on this one? https://mcauto.co.za/collections/mx-gloves/products/fox-pawtector-race-orange-gloves-1 Just noticed my old full fingers have gone the route of loose stitching since I started using them on the trail bike recently and the pawtectors look pretty good. Is the price solid? I paid 149 for my last pair of gloves at Cycle Lab but the mx gloves is new territory for me. I also want to get a jersey there but no idea how the sizing compares as they are made to fit body armour beneath if my understanding is correct.
