I also got had a bit of a *** thanks to the wind on one of my practise runs. I came into the bridge gap at the usual speed but was met by a massive headwind!! So i got one or two more pedal strokes in before the launch and hucked it!!! Felt like i stalled in the air!!!!! I landed quite hard with my back wheel on the top of the landing, but rode away unscathed. I did warp the back wheel slightly. But Dean managed to straighten it out no problem...... Dean can sort out anything with his box of tricks: 'Anything short of an engine rebuild' HAHAHA

#13 was Justin!!!! HAHA! He was cursing that number board from the moment he attached it to his bike!! Just got a BBM from him now and he says that the Doc told him that the Collarbone had slipped out and then back in and he is going through some majr pain! He still did both race runs and logged an extremely fast 1:47 considering the pain he was going through. He crashed again in his second run and that is when he broke his forks.

Guys....... More help needed in the same regard!!!! A good friend of mine, Justin, broke the bridge on some loaner 32mm Boxxers during the race this past weekend. Any chance anyone has a set of lowers that they would be willing to part with for a little bit of cash. He had to borrow forks because he broke some ancient Jnr T's the other day and didnt want to miss the race. The forks that were borrowed were supposed to be sold on the owners bike at the end of the month so Justin is pretty gutted about breaking them.

Finally manned up and hit Dr Evil on the Cascades Course Dean has an App on his phone that lets you know Speed/Distance/Elevation etc for Mountainbiking. He got some data over this gap and the speed required to clear it was 60km/h!! I must admit, I wish he hadnt told me that before i hit it!! The first article (with the Bigfoot Boxxers) was an April fools joke. I would not recommend it - the bottom crown is not manufactured to take all the load of MTB riding without the top crown for strength. An entire Dual Crown fork is designed to work as is, I would definitely not recommend messing about wiith it.

Ah no, you are right.... my mistake. Then my predictions are that Tracey Hannah takes it with a strong finish by Miriam Nicole and Rachel.

As far as ladies go, I think T-Mo better watch out because I believe Tracey Hannah could take this season!! After seeing her form at the past KZN Champs i think she is looking super strong!!

I would like to wait to see everyones form in PMB this coming weekend before dropping my predictions. I do, however, see Gwin, Minnaar and Gee on the podium at all or damn near all of the races. I also think Brosnan will be a top 5 contender this season. There are also 2 guys who i would really like to see finish real well this season and they are Fairclough and Stevie Smith!!!!!
