  1. Wish granted.....
  2. You said.......
  3. More pics, looks so clean... Fork bumper/Cable router is neat, even if some say it is ripped of the Evil Undead. Trek DH rigs are rather nice, but this certainly takes the cake. The TWR colour scheme has to be one of my favorite on any bike on the World Cup circuit. This matched with their kit makes for an amazingly striking, yet neat, package.
  4. Another Scott... HAHAHAHA........... The Gambler is beckoning!!! Glad you are sorted for a bike buddy. And it is Giba so it is not paramount that you have 8 inches of rear travel.
  5. Yeah, the bike is old school - wanting to build it up for a while but gotta keep the main sled rolling before secondary sleds!!!
  6. uh... Yeah!!!
  7. Nige, it is the same suspension setup as the 4 banger. Conventional Lawhill push-shock design.. HAHAHA Pic of my frame below
  8. Its a medium
  9. Ah Geez Dean, sorry about that!!!!! Where was this!!! I got the Schwinn Straight 8 Frame just sitting if you want to do a quick build onto it for this weekend?? Just needs a shorter rear shock - maybe the shock you run on the Haro will work.
  10. Truck and Trailer has been found, spotted by a PinkBike User, but major damage was done to the trailer and all the bikes and suspension components were stolen. See below http://www.pinkbike.com/news/Fox-Racing-Truck-Found-and-Retreived-2011.html After the Fox Racing truck was stolen Tuesday outside of Quebec while the crew were there for the World Cup, we put up a story announcing the theft and received a call from a Pinkbike user yesterday to inform us they had seen the truck while driving by it in Montreal and called it into police. Soon after, the police were on the scene and towed it back. The truck was just released back into Fox Racing's hands and they are grateful. "We debated even passing the word around at first but this shows it was worth it and the power of forums and communication. Super stoked! " says Mark Fitzsimmons from Fox Racing. All is not well though as Mark tells Pinkbike, "The thieves cut a hole in the side wall, came inside, cut out the back door locks and removed everything bike and suspension related. They knew what they were after as they even took our shim tuning kits and left other valuables around them. They weren’t able to get into our tools as we had a second lock on those." The thieves have not been found so all those Fox Racing goods are still out there, so keep on the look out! Great to see the biking community come together like this. And Fox Racing wanted to give a big shout out to all the race teams who lent them tools so they could continue getting things dialed in at the World Cup.
  11. I will start commuting on my Big Bike - HAHAHA. Good news though

  13. Nige, Does your garage have space for your truck... HAHAHA That Trek is real nice even if it has been thrashed on the WC circuit for a bit. Have liked Treks DH rigs since the Diesel days.

  15. Read this earlier today and got so amped.......
  16. And it is also confirmed that the 2012 World Cup kicks off in PMB too.... Awesome!!!
  17. Hey, you are right Nige.... Because the riders are not cutting the tape in any way....I didnt think about that. That was the weekend I 'started' Downhill..... Ah, the good ol days. The chap who put the sticks in was the course 'designer' his name was Richard something or other - I remember thinking that it was super dangerous and could have caused a major injury if a rider had been impaled!!!! He had a heated argument with a rider and almost came to blows... That line was fast though, I remember the first time I did that line I though I was the boss!! - back when I was still riding my Schwinn 4-Banger! Cant wait to reopen that course - fast and loose!!!
  18. It is still a downer though when riders are DQ'd due to a minor course break. Sometimes it is impossible to enter where you left - as with that dude who binned it in the bombhole, but it is the name of the game....
  19. Yeah, they have to draw the line somewhere.. I remember back in the day at OOOOLD Worlds View there was a huge argument at a race and it was even paused for a while (If I remember correctly) because some of the riders where jumping over a right hander into a chute near the top. The course designer was not too happy with this and jammed sticks into the ground right where they where jumping DURING THE RACE, causing major disagreements with riders and officials etc..... But this would have not posed a problem if the course had been clearly taped at that point and laws like these put into place. The sport is still growing (like a rebellious teenager) and as it progresses so the rules have to evolve to keep it fair and safe - Just like F1.
  20. Ah what a downer - She would have certainly placed well. And Matti must be rather gutted, I really like his style and always hope for a good placing... *Edit Just checked and Matti was lying 15th overall after Ft Bill! And Ragot 4th! But I guess that is the name of the game - and they know it!
  21. Anyone now why Lehikoinen was disqualified? I saw an interview with Emmeline Ragot, who was also disqualified, and she feels hers was an unfair decision because only her hand broke the tape - not the rest of her or her bike??
  22. Fair point Jarek, I dont blame them for leaving UK during winter - I have been there over that period and it is balls...
  23. If it is wet I feel that Hill will improve on his placings in the last few races. Greg does kill it in the wet too - so we will have to see. As far as the Ladies go, I agree with Nige and think that Rachel has a good chance - she has been looking strong and her training in the UK climate may well pay off if it is wet.
  24. Ol' Hart did get all outta shape at the top... It looked like he should have gone down for sure. It was either going to be a scorching run or a complete write-off!!!!!
