  1. E-Bikes cut off at 25km/h or 32km/h for mtb’s depending on make. Road e-bikes cut off at 45km/h (maybe less) so no problem there. If everything stays as supplied and not derestricted.
  2. Any way around it? Don’t have family or friends in UK.
  3. Hi Neville, how did you subscribe to Discovery Plus. I tried it but they don’t seem to recognise SA cards. Regards Dupreez 0726107123
  4. Thanks for uploading all those photo’s. That is what the “Argus” was about before all these new tech. People were actually having fun. Nowadays it seems like a moan brigade. Also say a VERY VERY big thanks to all those guys that were riding at the front pulling the bunches so most of the riders in the bunch can have a “free” ride. They are actual heroes 💪🏻💪🏻👏🏻so that the rest can “brag” about what their time was. Like someone mentioned previously by disqualifying someone for staring earlier or whatever to gain 1 or 2 or 50 places what’s the point. To move from 7 600 - 7 100 makes no difference at all. Maybe I’m wrong (sorry if I am) and things have changed since I started riding the Argus 20+ years ago but it seems we missed the whole point of not having fun. Give it your best shot may it be to try for a sub 3 or for most people just be able to get to the finish, every body is a winner
  5. Sorry first one is at 6:54 not 7:54
  6. I have 2. One starting 7:54 and the other one 8:04. Contact me on 0726107123. Dupreez
  7. Not even disc brakes included😩
  8. We are a few e-bikers in our group and normally ride where we want in group. No problem from any of the other riders. But when riding into a strong headwind we (e-bikers) normally go to the front and the rest follows. Still everybody is happy. If you are unhappy with that go find your own group is our motto. We like to enjoy our rides and don’t need people complaining all the time
  9. Robbie, you summed it up pretty good. It’s not the bike, it’s the person on the bike (no matter what kind of bike) that is the problem
  10. We have four e-bikes in our family now for more than 3 years and have done more than 5000 km per bike. We do a lot of off road riding in all weather conditions. Replace tyres a few times (normal) and only replaced one chain. No cassettes replaced or anything else. Only replace brake pads after 6 months of riding if needed. Do keep bikes clean all the time. Chain cleaned with ultrasonic cleaner after every muddy or dusty ride and lubed after every 100km or so. We don’t have bike shops near us. Nearest more than 200km away. Only take the bikes in for upgrading if we can’t do it over the app. Total cost on each bike (excluding tyres) for “service” about R1 500 per year. E-bikes not so expensive as people make it out to be.
  11. Try Jakhals Events. They have a lot of races and are very well orginized.
  12. He should quit now. He can’t even keep up on a 4% incline, and he wants to ride the TDF. It will be as if Israel PT is one rider short from the start. Maybe someone should tell him it’s time to go home.
  13. That could be a problem. See if you cannot get a cover made from plastic or something similar that will seal it tight. You can even strap it to frame
  14. Yes, just put the battery cover back. No need for foam inserts.I’ve done it many times
