  1. Agree, I had my Garmin mounted there too, until I fell, snapped it right off
  2. The long downhills of the event favour MTB, done the route on a gravel, spent allot of time on the brakes having to slow down due to the corrugations
  3. Gravel parts marked in red airport road is no more gravel, R340 only after the reserve.
  4. Was in Hoedspruit too, thank goodness was a winter intake, but I too remember sleeping 'kal' on those cement floors at night.
  5. Stay with X0, if you have extra money replace the RD with a Type 2 clutch
  6. Run BB30 on my Niner, been using copper paste in the tube for the last 3 years, no squeaks, replace my bearings once a year.
  7. Just installed my XO was not able to use the grips supplied as they used up too much bar space, current have a 630mm bar you need 680 and up if you want to use the grips supplied, using the ESI chunky that I’ve cut to fit, works well, also thought of cutting the XO grips, you lose the clamps that hold the grips in place, the grips have an inner barrel made of plastic with a rubber coating hence it doesn’t grip the bar without the end clamp.
  8. Been riding 26 HT and FS for the last 5 years took my new 29 HT for its first ride yeaterday, loved it, takes getting used too the gearing though,2x10
  9. Niner work in progress
  10. At almost half the price to the Edge 500 the cs500 is reasonable, my only gripe with it is that it does not link to polar 5 training software, only to polar.com therefore need to be connected to the internet to download or view you training. Can’t customize the viewing screen, but you can set it to automatically scroll through the different screen modes while riding.
