  1. I have the same problem, I am seeded H while my partner is seeded F. Going to be a problem finishing together. Maybe we can meet in the middle and start in G.
  2. Agree C1974, just a little bit of extra thought could have gone in to make that water point more effective. Bet they get it right next time, if there is a next time. As far as I could tell we rode on plenty of private land.
  3. Solutions rather than gripes go a long way
  4. Hey guys, this was a real Mtb race with a bit of mud added. Any bets if it was a dry race there probably would have been enough water at the water points. Too many people washing their bikes with "Drinking" water without consideration for the riders behind them. Same probably applies to the Powasol cleaning service. Was a good tough day out in the country.
  5. This is not quite the response I would expect from an organizer. I did the race, not as fit for the marathon as I could have been but nevertheless enjoyed it and will probably be back next year. I was 1st Gand Master in and not even a mention at the prize giving. Maybe I guess thats because there were only 3 old ballies who finished and 1 DNF
  6. Entered the 50Km and got 45Km at the finish in C batch, marking must have got fixed somewhere.
  7. Should be one this week
  8. Hope to be there
  9. Night ride would be good.
  10. We arrived en mass on Sunday morning, 25 to start with 2 joining us shortly thereafter. Magic blue trail and not too confusing. Some good pulls and great design for such a new trail. Could do with a little more technical stuff which I am sure is coming in time. Thanks guys and nice to have this on our doorstep in the East. EdenGlen Cyclng Club.
  11. Rietvlei near Alberton will take 25 minutes from Bedfordview. Always good with some challenging sections. Thaba Trails is probably 5 minutes from Rietvlei and is also good but far more challenging than Rietvlei.
  12. Hey Ivanhoe, how often do you do this ride?
  13. I have also done the Otter hike, but a 30KG pack, that is the killer. Mine weighed in at 19Kg. Never carry more than 25% of your body weight.
  14. Funny thing about our support crew is that there was only one guy who was there the whole time. Hell he made a lot of noise the rest of the crew there were actually our team riders and they made even more noise. Had a magic time
  15. Nice to have you with us, I hope your wife enjoyed it as much as wee did.
  16. Not so sure about being faster but it could be because he has a black bike also but had a little trouble keeping it upright last week.
  17. Agree it is not a good idea to have both events on the same weekend but Rietvlei is the one I would choose.
  18. Is the sensor close enough to the magnet as it passes. Sometimes you can hear the sensor tick as the magnet passes, then it should work.
  19. I thought the marking was quite ok, managed to find the finish, even though I was knackered
  20. Boeing wing tip on the way to Cayman Islands
  21. His name is Kingsley Nkoweyi. Someone else to see is Daan du Plessis.
  22. What's OKO? Got any spare, really needed some yesterday at van Gaalens
  23. I have a CS400 that uses IR technology. I found that it only transfers data (both ways) if it lies at 45 deg angle to the IR Dongle. First open the polar software, then press the "down" button and when you realease it should indicate "connect to PC" and then use the file transfer button on the Polar software, a green button in the info bar at the top on my system. It then connects and transfers data as required.
  24. Good call Wannabe
