  1. If it gets stolen that'll be the 2nd time any buyer gets robbed
  2. R295k...
  3. This is what happens when the Glacier Waterberg Traverse is not also "presented by Biogen". Expensive
  4. Where can one source Conti Race King Protection2.2s? https://www.bicyclerollingresistance.com/mtb-reviews has me wanting to give them a try but can't find them anywhere locally so far
  5. Let the long range anxious forecast checking commence
  6. You say Taiwan, I say Republic of China 😉
  7. Spesh, Trek, *insert name brand* all made in China I'm pretty sure
  8. Not so sure on the custom frame... Looks like a winspace T1500/1550 to me (which is a good thing)
  9. Any idea when the entry deadline is? (giving myself a few weeks to turn my fitness around before entering haha)
  10. Winspace D45 and R20k in your pocket
  11. Scicon Sports Some good deals IMO for those looking for sunglasses or bike bags (clothing not so much)
  12. Would like to see a comparison between the Standard and Cape Cobra models side to side
  13. Anyone done the MTB event before that can comment on water points in previous editions? Haven't seen anything online on how many etc.
  14. Adjacently, anyone know where to get cheap (but quality) maltodextrin suitable for a DIY dual carb mix? Like I've said, usually use plain sugar + water on short rides but pretty confident my stomach wouldn't handle multi-hour rides/races with 120g/hr of sugar water and looking for a cheap maltodextrin supply to make a mix : )
  15. Sucrose is sucrose, whether it's granulated sugar or golden syrup. Sucrose is a disaccharide of glucose and fructose in a 1:1 ratio. I use granulated sugar when I don't think I need sodium on shorter rides. Could probably get 10kg of the stuff for the price of a 1kg tub of your choice of endurance fuel. Not on expert on osmolality and all that stuff, but if you're not trying to push the limits of how much carbs you're trying to cram into a bottle, plain sugar should be just fine.
  16. Wasn't aware they were not li-ion. I think my point stands though, when you replace you chainring, you now have to replace a power meter unnecessarily
  17. The chainring will die long before the battery
  18. Further innovation from SRAM: with the power meter integrated into the chainring is this a new technology, the disposable power meter??
  19. The battery will last a lot longer than the unit itself I imagine. Used mine for 4 months and charged it twice. 100 cycles gives me 16 years, can't imagine many planning for that much use out of a power meter!
  20. Newish to road races (got most of my seeding from mtb races), where would a seeding index of 20 put me for the CTCT starting groups typically? Early enough for a decent crack at a sub-3?
  21. How heavy is the frame if it still weighs over 11kg with all those high end parts and no dropper!?
  22. Wonder if this means a 540/840 is near...
  23. Any word on cost?
  24. People are mistaking this for a journalistic piece (and that's partly intentional from the marketing department). It's just a type of advert
