  1. Don't worry about the colour, which one has a calculator???
  2. Awesome!! Can I ask where Santa and your family found this?
  3. Really enjoying Ray Donovan! Have also downloaded the first season of "Orange Is The New Black" but not really getting into it.
  4. Stunning watch!! And he even signed it for you ;-)
  5. Is Breaking Bad really good? Struggled to get into the first few episodes. I also use Imdb ratings to decide on shows :-)
  6. There are so many great TV shows that I have to short list the ones I have time for, usually an episode or two every night. Don't know about anybody else but I don't watch too many movies at home anymore - over a season you get to know the TV show characters well, whereas a movie feels a bit like a wham bam thank u mam. My faves: - Dexter - Mentalist - Waking Dead - Game of Thrones Currently watching: - Hannibal - Suits - The Following - Homeland
  7. I can give a personal testimony fwiw. I was seriously unhappy with my weight so my aim was to concentrate on weight loss for a month, even though it meant losing time in the saddle. Once I had my weight down, I readjusted my exercise routine and diet. I actually lost weight quicker by incorporating cardio with supersets in my weights workouts with higher reps - 15 to 20. I would do weights 3-4 times a week, (starting with a warm up of rowing, spinning etc to boost my heart rate) and cardio every alternate weight day (cycling, running and stepping). Weight workouts, done the right way, will help you lose weight and build lean muscle just as much as cardio. Exercising early in the morning on an empty stomach burnt fat and also boosted my metabolism for the day. I ate healthily, reduced my meal sizes, and cut out every ounce of junk food. Also lived on protein shakes. In 30 days my weight dropped from 85 to 75kg and although I had built muscle, my build was leaner and I was still lifting heavier weights and running as fast as when I was 10 years younger. Admittedly, losing 10kg in a month is probably a bit drastic, but it got me to a point where I could focus on my cycling without the weight disadvantage. Each person's build and metabolism is different, but the above worked for me.
  8. I keep my bike at Wayne Potgieter's house
  9. Out of interest how do XT's compare to Formula R1's? Apologies if this is a bit of a thread hijack...
  10. I guess it would be pointless to ask if anyone in this thread wants to buy a set of XX World cups
  11. I have the XX World Cup brakes on my bike and haven't tried the XT's so can't compare. But a pic I have of Burry shows the XX's on his bike - surely they cannot be that bad if he used them?
  12. Welcome to the forums :-)
  13. In light of the events of the last week, is it really necessary for us to get offended and insult each other? Seriously, let's live life with less agro and enjoy it while we still have it.
  14. Out of interest, if the knock off Pina's had decals that said "FAKE PINA", would those who want cheap frames ride these frames with these decals on since branding is irrelevant?
  15. www.jbaybikepark.co.za Longmore is about 5 minutes away from the J-Bay bike park and is great for hill training. I have ridden with a group one Saturday morning at 6am and as far as I know it is a regular MTB group ride that does about 30km. I don't have the LBS details but the owner of the shop will be able to assist with local rides. Will see if I can get his details and PM them to you.
  16. ..and only if he doesn't put condoms on his cranks...
  17. Thanks again, my bike is light enough so I think I will stick with a 180mm at the front.
  18. Can you please help with a link for this? All I find are centre lock to 6 bolt adapters.
  19. Sweet, thanks for all the help
  20. I currently have a 180mm at the front but was wondering if I should go down to a 160mm to save weight if I don't need a bigger disc...
  21. Thanks for that, will buy from them. I mostly ride XC so don't need hectic stopping power. Do you think I should just stick with 160mm at the front?
  22. Thanks for the prompt reply chaps! Mine are 6 bolt - I just wanted to make sure as I am clueless when it comes to compatibility. I have a set of XX centrelock rotors that I want to fit but it is going to mean changing hubs which will be an expensive exercise... Do you think it will be similar in price to just buy them in SA?
  23. Hi there, I am looking to fit Shimano XT/Saint ice tech rotors onto my American Classics. Does anyone know if these will fit? http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx?ModelID=67197 Thanks!
  24. If all the pro's knew, surely Kev must have as well? Which is more disturbing: he did know or he didn't...
  25. Gouwsie won't remember much after jail, but will wonder why he needs to use kitchen towel instead of toilet paper
