  1. I am 182 and ride a medium zula. My setup is quite aggresive but you can still set it up quite relaxed. Have you got a 100mm travel fork? An 80mm will change your headtube angle and make you feel like you going over the bars. Like said previously, a longer stem will make worse. I ride my 100mm travel fork with a zero stack headset, 10mm spacers, 90cm stem and a 15mm rise bar. This bike is amazing! Good luck and dont change the frame...
  2. When you pedal easier, you gearing down. When you pedal harder you gearing up.
  3. Hi all I need some advice and info from you guys in the know. I am building up a new BH Ultimate (hardtail) as an xc race bike. My full sus drivetrain is all XX 42/28 and 11/36, with XX derailleurs front and rear. I am enjoying the shifting that i am getting from it and was planning on running the same on the hardtail only with a Rotor 40/27 crankset. Thing is, I need a high mount direct mount front derailleur which only get made by SRAM in the XO range, to fit my frame. So the options are: XX shifters with XX rear derailleur and XO front XX shifters with XO front and rear XO all round Questions: Apart from the weight, what's the big differance in shifting between the XX and XO? If i decide to go XX on the rear, will the shorter cage derailleur pick up all the slack on the 40/27 11/36 combo? If I decide to go XO on the rear, will the medium cage derailleur be good on that combo? Any thoughts ont his will be appreciated. Cheers
  4. Thanks. Is the xo 10spd front and rear deraileurs compatible with the xx shifters? Long or medium cage for 10spd
  5. Watch out for flavoured instant oats. Not low GI!
  6. Hi there. Any of you clever okes know if SRAM makes a high mount, top pull, direct mount front deraileur in the XX range or only in the XO. Cant seem to find one. Thx
  7. Ai ja jai. Rotors dont fail from braking. Rotor bolts and centre locks dont fail from braking. Hydraulic hoses can fail. Brakes fade if too hot, get spongy with air and dont work at all if a hose has failed. Those are the three options. No one will ever live to see a stainless or alluminium rotor.
  8. Got a pair on both my wheelsets. Love them! No Hassles with durability. These tires are designed for cx racing! You obviously wont ride them on the Epic... A bit difficult to fit and seal for the first time.
  9. Do it yourself - it is easy! just make sure you put it right back together and screw the cover back up properly...
  10. Thanks Ghostface! Thats exactly what i needed!
  11. Hi Guys Can anyone tell me what the recommended spoke tension values on the Mavic Crossmax SL's are. I cant find it anywhere on the web and I get blank stares from the mechanics at the bike shops. Front and rear, drive and non drive side. Enjoy the weekend!
  12. got a set of scylla's on both my wheelsets. very good tracktion with loose over hard terain. probably the lightest tubeless around. 490gramms. no flats yet. very hard to get onto a stans rim though. the mavic crossmax was easier. could definately recommend
  13. the hope's does look good too... i am currently running shimano xt all the way. buying bit for bit. planning on changing over to sramm xx shifters, deraileurs and cluster. i have not decided on a crank yet. FSA kforce light looks sexy but a bit pricey. also not sure if it is compatible with the 10spd cluster. thanks for the pic's bos. got a feeling that it will probably be the r1's in the end thanks guys
