  1. Nah I didn't. The first time someone said you shouldn't supertuck I couldn't be bothered because that was not what the OP was trying to say.
  2. The centrifugal forces will still keep your bike going in a straight line. I'm not saying your should try to do corners at 90km/h in the ST but going down a straight road is really not that big a deal. And going from the ST to normal standing position is probably about 0.5sec. Hence me saying, not that big a deal.
  3. The supertuck is really not that big a deal. You are still very in control of the bike even if you're just an average bike handler at best. Try it, if you dont have a Canyon you will be OK. One other comment, if you weigh 86kg and sitting on the top tube, even though it might feel like you're putting your entire weight on the TT, you're not. The weight of your legs wont be on the TT and the way your knees bend also takes off a lot of weight.
  4. Here's a interesting story regarding the Aeroad. Not cool, Canyon. https://community.bikehub.co.za/topic/178350-canyon-aeroad-read-if-you-planning-on-purchasing-one/
  5. Man, you are one sad individual. Or your ignorance just getting the better of you.
  6. Well, basically nothing for Campy or SRAM......
  7. Yes, but Stages power meters are limited to alu cranks. Big problem for some.
  8. You are one sour man. Really gets to me if people make comments like that on matter that has nothing to do with them. Your day is not gonna end well if you start it like that.
  9. Now even replying yourself, too funny.
  10. Add 50ml of slime. Will reduce the chances of a puncture. Saved me a few times already. Definitely clinchers for training, tubbies are too expensive.
  11. 1 in every 1000 prospecting projects advances to a mining stage. You have to get serious investors investing billions of $ to open a mine. Another issue, it is very misleading from the media to tell people that there is 10 trillion cubic metres of shale gas in the Karoo for instance. This is simply just a theory from geologists that think that there might be shale gas. Circumstances might point to the potential of shale gas but nothing has been proven yet. Then you get people that runs with it and it can spiral out of control.
  12. Agree completely. The water situation is a very unfortunate one, but this comes from more than 100yrs of mining in the area. So where does the buck stop now? How do you determine who should be responsible for the current situation, mining companies form 100yrs ago or the current holders. That's why is I say that the emphasis needs to be on responsible mining. There has to be a balance. Government is getting a lot of flack for this. Not too long ago we had our first case of a successful prosecution against a coal mining company.
  13. Just another thought, almost every single thing that you can see in front of you now (computer, cellphone, your car, house etc etc etc) comes from mining. Switch on your lights.......comes from mining. It is just so rich from us to complain about projects like this when you are driving a nice big petrol gulping Range Rover. The emphasis should be on responsible mining.
  14. From my experience the Interested and affected parties must have a strong case to stop a project like this. You cant just say you are concerned that this might affect the natural vegetation. Unless there is some red listed species close to extinction they will not succeed. The company will then just have mitigation and management plans to address this. I know for a fact that there is more than one company applying or that have already received prospecting rights. So the video is very one sided. And that poor farmer, nothing gets mentioned of all the insecticides that they pump in the system.
  15. Throw some duct tape in there as well. Can use it for so many things. From wrapping a plug after a puncture to tying up a broken spoke.
