  2. The ultra won't be a batch start. ..but we will seed the start order according to the series rankings. ie. 0 index in front 100 index in the back. The first 4km will be neutral till just over the vaal river bridge.
  3. Due to the lack in last years singlespeed entrants the organisers and owner of the event decided to do away with it for 2014. The website still reflects the singlespeed option in the description, this will be removed asap.
  4. Yes ons kan jou help. email info@saseeding.co.za en hulle sal jou uithelp. Groete, Wessel
  5. The Ultra filled up quickly! cap was at 300, we din't expect this! Due tot he fact that the route is pretty much 50% separate we increased this to 600 due to popularity! Just remember this is a new "tougher" route compared to the previous 100km+ Crater races in the past.
  6. Profiles are now online: http://www.advendurance.com/nationalmtbseries/cratercruise
  7. Routes overlayed: Ultra: Marathon: Half-Marathon: Will update website with info / ascent / profiles shortly. Need to handle off DualX#3 first
  8. Hey, sorry this is all I have currently. Attie is in botswana and is back tomorrow, then he'll send me the profiles and kml files. trying to be patient too...
  9. Rough route of the half marathon - still awaiting finals Rough route of the marathon route - still awaiting final:
  10. Hi Vintage Vespa, Thanks for your query. You won't get a email that quickly unfortunately, we have 100's of emails between our events on a daily basis. If it's a entry problem email info@jumpertrax.com they will be able to assist. Perhaps try another browser like Google Chrome to enter, they are still fixing browser incompatibilities. thanks, Wessel
  11. Emails will go out this afternoon. Is as advertise don the website that it will be tomorrow at cycle ab centurion & on the day at the event.
  12. Online entries are now closed. Late entries will be available at cycle lab centurion tomorrow and at the venue on saturday!
  13. Guys this year the Ultra is 115km with about 500m more climbing with much more mountain biking
  14. Reminder that the first 1000 entries gets a Columbia Shirt valued at R200.
  15. It's hilly but there's no mountains. The "Classic" 100 plus km route had less than 1000m of climbing. The longest climb on that route was 5km which is not in the 80km. The race is hard because the average speed is just much higher ie. the "Classic" 100 plus route record is 03:28min, compared to a "usual" 4:30min plus finish time for the "normal" series "Ultra". The new route in the Ultra this year will add approximately up to 45min to the route. The routes have been made harder over the past 3 years to make it more mountain biking than a gravel road race. The 80km will be easier than any of the other events in the MTN National MTB series driven by NISSAN. I'm still awaiting the route profiles.
  16. I'm awaiting the route files. So I'm unsure of how the route for the dirtmax goes. The 80km starts out the same direction as that of the 40km but continues on and joins the classic route just after the 1/2 point and returns the same way as the classic distance.
  17. Event booklet is now online on http://www.dualx.co.za/info/dualx2
  18. Hi Travis, You can mail them by info@jumpertrax.com. We don't have anything to do with their business. I have also asked them in the mean time, I'm sure they are just upgrading some things.

  20. Hey guys, Some feedback from the advendurance team: Fotos: www.jetlineactionphoto.com The routes changed probably 3 times in the two weeks leading up to the first event, hence no profiles. Learnt allot, routes should be nailed soon this time. We are changing allot of things for the second event onwards, and have learnt allot from our first duathlon. Leaders that went wrong in the half: They followed the quarter board instead of the half board. Basically at out events you should always follow the board that if for the distance that you entered. We change the boards as the race progresses, in other words, many people are used to follow the full boards the first time around then the half boards for the second time on the run. With us it's not the case, this will be briefed better in the future, and included in documentation and route descriptions. Marshalls at splits: there's good reason we don't use marshalls at splits, marshalls are not there to show you where to go, instead they are there to see that the race progresses like it should. But with the confusion, with people not understanding that they should always follow their distance signs we had to step in to make sure people were indeed going where they should be going. In short: More split coming up signage, better communication with participants & briefing regarding signage and the flow of the event. We are doing away with competitive teams, there will only be a recreational team option going forward and they will start with the C batch. There will be no prizes or prize money for this. Brats and quarter will start first thing in the morning around about 08:00. Once they are out of the way will the full start and then the half. We will time the groups better and allow areas on route for overtaking. Prize giving will essentially be split in two, looks like it will be about 11:00 for overall full / 11:15 Half overall 11:30 kids overall brats & quarter 12:00 All other Categories. Categories will also be trimmed quite a bit for prize giving. Better control at transition Better registration layout We read all your responses and take everything to heart. We want you to have the best event and experience possible.
