  3. We tried to remove this, and it back fired. as a last minute the guys marked it same as last year... apologies.

  6. Answered this earlier in the forum ...
  7. Route is exactly the same (barring the tar road up to the "T" this will all be farm roads now), except that there is a detour which adds about 10km to it with 500m more climbing more in this section with more actual mountain biking here, and cuts out a long stretch of corrugated gravelroad from about 22km, till half way up suikerbossie.

  9. Nissan Trailseeker #3 has just opened...
  10. Theres been many places that we wanted to go this year but due to the different property groups on Mabalingwe it's been limiting us in what we really wanted. Routes should be finalised this week.
  11. I'm unaware of any boards or markers out there. Those boards are like R75 each and we'll never knowingly leave them on route. Please let me know where you saw them, its unacceptable.
  12. Hi Stretch, There was ample of other course markings out there when we marked. We used the following markers: MTN Bunting Tape Orange Day glo stickers White / yellow / red "A" frame route boards Chalk What course markings did you see?
  13. Still some accommodation available as well as campsites... This year it's 99% certain we start at the camp area!
  14. Returned today from Mabalingwe, and I'm happy to say that the event will see PLENTY new single track and purpose built MTB routes fro 2014! This race has really matured over the years, into what mountain bikers really want and enjoy! Expect routes available early next week!
  15. Jammer man ek't die start tye verander, en toe nie die expected time geupdate na die tyd nie...sorry.
  16. "Drags up, singletrack flowy stuff down, very enjoyable for everyone." Drag - Referred to in cycling as a road which is sloped positively (slight uphill, that is not flat or a real observable climb), where the force that is required to maintain momentum needs to be increased to maintain velocity.
  17. Hi Leona, Results are up on http://www.saseeding.co.za/event-results/?event=748 Kind Regards.
  18. Riaan, are you doubting me?
  19. Entries filling up fast... ride in the wild... this year is the 14th edition.
  20. It seems though that events are all shrinking in size in KZN even with ROAG this is what ppl in KZN tell me?
  21. I counted 5 events on the same day. - I had two clashes when our calendar was done. I used ROAG till 2012, that year we got 50% entries from them and 50% from us. - We did the event last year alone and grew the numbers by 15%. The fact that we had less numbers this year was not due to the fact of not using ROAG, we had very little marketing a done and the entries were only open for 19 days. (our fault).
  22. Tar road is like a 2.0km... if that (less than 2013) Mowed grass was last minute and not planned this happens with changes (sorry) We had to swap the route around (due to us being forced to use the same parts as WC where we overlapped) yes there was more single track last year because of this not enough time to add towards the end. Single track started just before the 2nd waterpoint (35km) - you bailed out at 37km... ROAG wants you to do the whole event as ROAG - we can't do that. Numbers down because we had entry system problems to open them and so we had 19 days for entries only. (this was our fault) Route will be improved for 2015 - without the overlap of the WC which will allow us to do more our own thing again.
  23. We need to get more ppl to this event otherwise we'll need to drop it going forward, and then we won't have KZN represented... It's a good race, great route, real tuff mountain biking!
