  1. It has put production about 2 weeks behind schedule. The factory has been running all the time with about 40% of the staff. As far as I know it's all on track again.
  2. Ring the HQ before you go and ask them to organize you a 695 to test ride....I'm sure your wife won't mind.
  3. You should go the the HQ in Nevers, France. They'll give you a quick guided tour. There's also the LOOK Pro shop to visit...and DROOL in.
  4. LOOK's are manufactured in France and in LOOK's own factory in Tunisia. The LOOK 566 is made in Taiwan though.
  5. Mampara...it's too early in the morning for me. You're 100% right. Remove the pedal with the allenkey and remove the axle with the ring. The nuts do look different...there a left and a right side...but the 19mm rings fits no problem.
  6. You can remove the pedals using an allenkey. I've never ever seen or heard of that happening? Remove the axles with the ring spanner, and to re-grease them. When you refit the axle, put a dab of locktite on the tread before you screw it back in.
  7. To answer the question. You can't replace the needle bearings in the pedal body. The two roller bearings are crimped on the axle, so they can't also be removed. If you want new bearings you'll have to change the axle.
  8. Keo 2 Max and Keo Blade axle threads are now 14mm in length. This allows a Q factor adjustment of an additional 2mm using a specific washer (available as spare part). It increases the Q Factor from 53mm to 55mm. Problem solved!
  9. PM me.
  10. Quite right...they are made in Tunisia and France in LOOK's own factories.. The 566 is made in Taiwan though.

    Sub 7kg LOOK 986
  15. There's no weight limit on any LOOK product...so they are pretty safe. If you want the strongest...I'd go for the Keo 2 Max. The body of the pedal will be more robust than the Blade.(everyday use)
  16. Remember to add the weight of the cleats...check the table above.
  17. Lab Test:
  18. Keo Blade Cr-mo's...should be in SA in about 2 weeks. They'll retail for about R2100.
  19. Keo Power
  20. Thanks Mampara. They actually compared pedals in the same price point.
  21. You're right. Some people complained that the first generation Quartz unclipped too easy. LOOK then modified the pedal with an upgraded spring for a more "secure" clip. The second generation pedals....are the benchmark in pedals....or am I biased?
  22. Watch this space...
  23. Cape Cycle Systems
  24. Hi Chris...please get us a few pics of the new 695.
  25. Some more photos of what actually makes up the bike: Velonews
