  1. The 65 route is fast. Did a 39.9 ave in 2009 Climbs are not that bad. Looking forward to Sunday.
  2. This is not good for the Berge & Dale Race. It is one of the reasons I am not doing the race this year. It is a tough route and to sit with a puncture/s is mentally not good for you.Good luck to the hubbers thats racing on Saturday. Enjoy. I trust the weather will be friendly.
  3. You'r funny dude.............
  4. The Zini's were good bikes. Bought my first Zini in 1986(MK11)Replaced it with a new Zini in 1995 when I did my best Argus(105km - I think) Unfortunately the factory that build the Zini's closed.

  6. There is a 2cm crack on my rear Richey rim.(Just below the spoke) Survived the Fast One yesterday. Don't know when the rim will finally give in.With 4 racing weekends ahead I would prefer not to take a chance.Looking for a rim to replace.(18 speed)Doesn't need to be a Richey. As long as it is of the same quality. Any one that can help? I stay in Boksburg. Thanks
  7. Its cool and my wife thinks its sexy..........
  8. Frame looks good however, the headset looks like a "neck breaker"
  9. Thanks for the advice Skull. Will be there on Friday. Will check out the area.
  10. I suggest you take sponge and wrap it round your rear derailer as well as your chain rings. Depending on the space in the bag put as much sponge in the bag as possible. I have discovered the more "packaging" inside the bag the saver your bike is. Last thing you want when opening the bag is a damaged derailer or chain ring. The best thing to have is one of these hardened "bicycle boxes" They really strong and not much can actually happen.
  11. Thanks for the advice DJ84 & Kennyg. Unfortunately my MTB is a 1996 Avalanche which weighs a tonne and have no shocks or discs etc etc. I will definitely come off second trying a MTB route. I will go out early on the road and see what traffic does.
  12. Thanks for the input. So much for pizza friday.........
  13. I will be in the Hartbeespoort Dam area between 10/12 - 16/12 How is the roads for traing in terms of safety(traffic)? We will be staying over at the Aeroden Lodge situated on the R512 between Magaliesberg and Harties. Your input will be valued. Thanks
  14. The bees will just love you on the 94.7
  15. I don't think we have the manpower, skill and logistics for this. Besides , if we still have 80% of the taxi population on the road 6 months after implementation ,the system has failed.Just imagine the harmony on the roads with 80% of taxi drivers out the system.
  16. Having PMS Rebel? Your comments are uncalled for. Leave us hubbers alone. I think the majority of the hubbers has got more time(years) in the sadle than you are old. Suck it up dude.Life is too short and precious to go around and criticise others. Enjoy life,go out for a ride and just for fun skip a few robots.
  17. Do 2/3 more rides with her and then tell her she would be fine on her own.
  18. Hi Ricky If it is meant to be you will get it. Keep us up to date.
  19. Pay the extra 2k. A few years ago I paid an extra 2K for a better option and today I am not regretting it. Believe me you will be glad that you paid the extra 2k , cause once you have bought the bike there is no turning back.
