  11. I would like to share an experience with you about drinking and driving. As you well know, some of us have been lucky not to have had brushes with the authorities on our way home from the various social sessions over the years. A couple of nights ago, I was out for a few drinks with some friends and had a few too many beers and then topped it off with a margarita. Not a good idea. Knowing full well I was at least slightly over the limit, I did something I've never done before: I took a taxi home. Sure enough I passed a police road block but because it was a taxi, they waved it past. I arrived home safely without incident, which was a real surprise. I have never driven a taxi before and am not sure where I got it...

  14. thanks V12 ill give it a shot. for some reason the crc site wont load on my side :/ will chck it out when I get home. ill give the straightening a try and see how it looks
  15. rim is pretty buckled just worried if straightened itll do the same at the slightest bump. Ill have a look at replacing. not keen on crc due to delivery times, but if i have to i shall
  16. you see i have 20mm through axle i have been offered a front rim from my friends old GT but ill have to get the whole thing respoked anyway as the hub wont be compatible with my forks. then i just start thinking maybe i should drop the extra 400 odd and get a purpose built rim issue is just money
  17. sheeez and i thought hubbers were a helpful bunch
  18. keep some nuts or trail mix next to the bed and some water
  19. i havent bumped into a 'normal' skier that has broken a collarbone, your nature of your falls is a bit different. in saying that. my friends bones didnt bind and he had to go for another op and wait another 6-8 weeks to come right.
  20. I have some WTB SpeedDisc All Mountain, 32-hole rims. I completely pretzelled my front rim a few months back, yes its been that long. Im desperate to get riding again. But alas I dont have a huge amount of spare cash to drop on a new rim etc right now. (I just bought a house) sooo, this is kind of a 2 part question. 1) can anyone suggest a cheap relatively hardly, its an all mountain bike, rim with an ERD of 541mm Basically I want to use as many spokes as I can from my old bike (so I can save some precious pennies) front hub is a WTB 20mm 2) is this rim beyond repair... http://instagram.com/p/LshxGgEeRc/ Or am I just being silly. Should I just consider http://dialdbikes.co.za/dartmoor-raider-rim.html with a new set of spokes http://dialdbikes.co.za/dartmoor-spokes.html
