  1. I have a Slade trail frame up for sale on the hub, if you’re a large, I don’t mind building it up for you if you’d be keen on it
  2. I ride alone, probably about half the time, but pretty much exclusively in more closed off places. My watch has a crash sensor that phones my emergency contacts, I dont try anything new or stupid when alone and not super scared of a robbery as everything is insured.
  3. I have some up on the hub, the roscoe is a lekka one, rapide is lekka, the old momsen str/stf is amazing, quite a few options
  4. Went axs a while back and can’t use anything else now, including xx1 XT isn’t too far off, but axs is just so nice
  5. Ive seen some at Northcliff Cycles, but im sure quite a few shops will have
  6. Pretty much all you need to know already mentioned by Aron Cornering is pretty much only technique, watch some Youtube and practice a lot, and follow guys that are faster than you What also worked for me, not very xc, but get knee pads, even if you only wear them when specifically practicing cornering
  7. Routes are marked
  8. There was defo money to be made on most of the lots, but definitely not enough to warrant the risk
  9. The rear triangle for that sb 5.5 was in lot 44, so i was considering getting both, but then i realised the bolt was missing on the "complete" frame in lot 43, which meant the switch infinity was probably missing, which adds another 7-8k on top of that, really not making it worth it
  10. Tried to get some helmets and was eyeing those yetis, but didnt end up getting anything
  11. https://www.widman.biz/English/Calculators/Mixtures.html Not all 15w oil is the same either though👀 The viscosity (cSt) is more important It really isnt that difficult and servicing forks arent that much of an exact science
  12. I have no problem using the best for my multi thousand rand fork You use less than 20ml per service for most forks, so does it really cost that much... Its less than 50c per ml, so R10 per service
  13. https://deltabikes.co.za/store/10w-suspension-oil-1/ https://deltabikes.co.za/store/20w-suspension-oil-1/ Been using some of the juice lubes stuff and its really good, can even be mixed to tune how you want your fork to feel
  14. My point is, what happens in a crash that is actually a proper crash
  15. I know that, they arent supposed to stay together, because they are supposed to absorb the forces. I wasnt clear, but what I meant is, the helmet came completely apart, and the rider had damage to their head that they would not have had, had the helmet held together a bit more. Ive only seen 2 crashes with Lazer helmets and this was the case for both. Both had major concussions, both were at relatively low speed, with not too major of a head impact.
