  1. I hear that he was successfully resuscitated
  2. Go custom, better quality and will be designed to Suit your biomechanics. Check out www.podiatrist.co.za for a podiatrist in your area.
  3. This can be a difficult condition to treat. My advice from many years of treating this common condition is to tackle the cause. In most cases there is a Podiatric biomechanical issue that needs to be addressed. All the rest of the treatment is just gravy. Get yourself to a sports podiatrist and sort the cause of the problem out. www.podiatrist.co.za. Just my 2 cents.
  4. Done 3 going to be missing 2016,need a Dec holiday. My advice to the novices. Bike, bike and bike some more. The time for error on the bike leg is tiny. No point saving your legs for the run if you get cut at the end of the bike leg. Statistically one of the 3 most difficult 70.3 outings. The Durban event nowhere in comparison. But best of luck to all of Those who are going to brave EL.
  5. Maybe see one of my podiatry colleagues close to you. www.podiatrist.co.za needs to be diagnosed correctly
  6. Good luck to all of the brave Ironman South Africa participants. Hope to see none of you in the medical standby tent tomorrow. Have a wonderful race.
  7. Just might to bring a set of pedals as I run egg beaters.
  8. What size do you need? I have a 29er hard tail you can lend if you promise to look after it and bring it back in one piece. Size medium. stuartalexander@mweb.co.za
  9. There like a square, didn't put in enough miles this year and was going to be a fun ride anyway. Going to enjoy the vibe and ride in solidarity. "The Argus critical mass?"
  10. @ Newboy I have ridden two sets of the schwalbe one tubeless tyres. Please don't waste your money they are lighter but not as puncture resistant as the Hutchinson. You will be disappointed.
  11. Also converted a set of Easton ea90 aero rims worked perfectly.
  12. Secondly these tubeless tyres last forever. First set lasted 4500km
  13. I have been running Easton ea90rt rims for about 2 years now with Hutchinson fusion 3 tyres and 30ml of Stans have never had a puncher. Will never ride a tube ever again. If you are thinking of converting a normal rim use 21mm Stans rim tape and tubeless valve with removable core. Lots of soapy water to seat the bead and only use tubeless tyres. Also use a perfectly clean rim with ruffed up the inside of the rim with a scotch pad so that the rim tape sits. Also a word of warning do not use tyre levers to mount the tyres. Roll them on with your hands. Good luck with the conversion.
  14. I think you got off lightly, 90min penalty take it on the chin. If it was up to me I would hand out a DQ. But that is just me.
  15. Visit one of my podiatry colleagues close to you. www.podiatrist.co.za.
