  1. This is how we do it. No "corkage fee" for supplying your own stuff.
  2. Not the same. Easton is going from 31.8 to 35 diameter on their bigger bars / stems. Stem just happens to be 35mm long at the moment. Cash in on a bit of marketing. They'll add a 50mm model soon enough.
  3. All our bikes are setup Left Font, Right Rear as we've found most people ride like that. We feel it's best to have your "clever hand" control the rear brake. Chances are that's the one you'll use the most and will need control over. By the time you grab the front brake it's to STOP. Not to reduce speed.
  4. Well done guys. Let us know when you're building next then we'll get a team from the shop to pull in.
  5. Great shoes. Have mine since 2007 and they're still going strong. What size do you wear?
  6. Are you looking to sponsor or to get sponsored?
  7. X1 is a good couple of grand less than the X0. Use that money to upgrade the OE wheelset as it is quite heavy. That will give you better bang for buch than the full XT and SID. Or just go for the XX carbon...
  8. Audi buys Ducatti for $1.13billion http://www.reuters.com/article/2012/04/18/us-audi-ducati-idUSBRE83H16L20120418
  9. Buy the '12 X1 and use the extra money to upgrade to a ZTR wheelset.
  10. We are currently looking for an experienced bicycle mechanic. Must be able to work on road as well as mountain bikes and have an in-depth knowledge of all things bike. This is your opportunity to work in a relaxed, but focused and goal-orientated atmosphere as part of a team of enthusiastic cyclists. If you are interested or would like more info please email us on info@cyclefactory.co.za Regards Jacques van Staden

  15. All depends on what you mean with "technical". We've been riding 29ers up and down Tokai, Majik, Jonkers and even Eden and it handles itself like a pro on the more technical stuff. Once you get used to riding a 29er it's not so much of an issue anymore.
  16. We'd have to agree with this. Best bang for buck
  17. Give us a call for the best prices in Cape Town.
  18. Not really. Rather go with High Rollers or WTB Bronson.
  19. You can give us a call
  20. Pro's of changing Less noise (MUCH less) MTB tire won't wear (Knobblies take a heavy beating on an IDT) You won't have pieces of rubber lying around (depends on tread) Con's Will have to swop tire or have second rear wheel MTB slicks are quite cheap in comparison to normal MTB tires. If you'd like a quote drop us a call.
  21. You'd have to first say what bike it is for.
  22. Not sure what it says, but we would suggest you get in touch with Crow. He has an Anthem X 29er he does demo rides on so will be able to help you there. He's also been riding 26ers and 29ers back to back to front to over the top for the last 6 months and have a very broad knowledge base. After that drop us a line for the best price on a bike in Cape Town.
  23. There are some very good vids on www.youtube.com. The Bikeradar and RockShox tech ones are very good and easy to understand.
