  1. There is a cycle lab ride that leaves Broadacers at 5am Tues,Wed,Thurs. There are not always people so some mornings you might your own sometimes. Route and pace depends on who is there. Usually get back to Broadacers at about 7-7:10. I haven't done it the last 2 weeks as I have been out with injury :-(
  2. Last year was a bunch start in the open category, so be attentive in the beginning as the stronger rides will probably go out at quite a brisk pace and split things up a bit.

    Flu

Oh man this thread is not filling me with confidence. I have presented with a running nose and slight cough this morning. And I got the lowveld tour next week!!! I'm just praying its a cold and not this super flu.
  4. I cycle in the cradle about 3 times a week. Cradle will have quite a few cyclist in it and not too many cars on any given weekend. So I would say it very safe.
  5. Yip, was that sale price plus VAT and they charged R75 for shipping.
  6. Hi Hubbers A quick review on a laptop backpak I purchased for commuting. I needed a bag that would fit my 17" laptop that I need to take to work. I decided on the Gutter bag detailed below and I am very happy with it. I had a 50km ride with it this morning and it was very comfortable (I only had my laptop, charger and work shirt and there was still plenty space for more clothes/shoes if needed). The bag has a belt clip and ample padding and seems well made. Well worth a look if you need a sturdy 17inch Laptop back pack . 7. 2x Road bikes totaling about 15k 1x oldish Ford Ranger bakkie about 35k. So I'm halfway there.
  8. Great Idea I'd be keen. Nice and close to me to
  9. Same plan here, just more layers and more light battery charging. Otherwise training times remain the same.
  10. I had a little crash. On the hill going up into Magaliesburg. Lucky I was going slow so nothing but a knee and elbow graze. But I did loose the bunch i was with :-(.
  11. Just picked up my number and goodie bag. Was even able to sort out a seeding issue. Thanks tannies and organisers!
  12. I train in the cradle quite and if there is a planned event on any of the legs I want to ride, I just make sure I go the opposite direction as the race. Its pretty simple logic, why would I want to get tangled up with a bunch of race groups?
