The frame is cracked right through, and thanks but it's not a Raleigh. I have been asked not to mention the name of the bike but lets see how this pans out. Marius I've managed to borrow a bike for the RPC so you're still gonna see me there !

I managed to break my Mtb frame on the weekend, how I'm still not sure. For argument sake lets just assume that there no way taking the type of material and the place of the break that it is anything but a manufacturing problem. I have been in contact with the SA agent and according to him I must pay to get the frame back to the manufacturer, WTF ? Why should I pay for their problems, what kind of industry is this ! I'm starting to see my Epic training going out the window.

Not sure how relevant this is anymore, but I don't think legalising it is as obvious a solution as one might think. How much pressure would riders be under to dope as much as possible, all you would end up doing is seeing who could take the most dope before they fall over dead ?

It was really amazing how many blank stares I got (even from two guys I know well) when I started asking for a tube.

Putting everything into Epic, so the bike is sorted. Then running 3* a week, I've found the IM "run" turns out to be a bit more of a walk anyway. And the swimming well thats a problem but I've got a nice wetsuit so I'll take it easy and float around for a while.

Decided to have a fun IM this year, didn't want to miss out again but I'll be doing the Epic the week before.

IM is without a doubt the best sporting event I've done, I'll be there in 2008 again.

Sorry didn't see that Oct/Nov thread, some awsome places there. Work was so bad yesterday and I was sooo bored I sent myself emails ! Watching all those folks on holiday catching crayfish didn't help much either.

Just have a problem that my bike is to fast for me, by the time I realise I'm out of my league it's waaaay to late.

I'm just a bit far from civilisation for my own good, good roads out here for cycling though.

Thats assuming you can even lift a hand !
