  1. I get it would be very scary, but I don’t understand why this step is required. Surely it just gives real bad guys a chance to make themselves scarce. If a bad guy is called in to the cop shop and told what he is being investigated for and signs to acknowledge it, before being sent on his way, he then knows what tracks to cover and would probably go on the lam.
  2. Really? This makes very little sense. Would that not just give the criminal a heads up, so they can get their ducks in a row and get off the grid? Seems a bit silly.
  3. I bought one a few years ago. Still going strong. Its a great commuter bike for around town. Very “simple” low maintenance and well put together. I see they have tourer bikes now with claris gear sets and an e-bike model in the works. Glad to see a small local business growing like this. Im very happy with mine
  4. Exactly, but doubt any of this will be done. Just like the stolen bike thread posted yesterday. Bike was found on Facebook marketplace and pointed out to the OP, who has yet to provide any sort of feedback as to what happens next.
  5. There is no excuse in this day and age to not have results available in near real time.
  6. So is there an event recap out yet?
  7. I just had a quick look and can’t find one, but if there is another thread please shut this one down. Just thought would be cool to have a build up thread for everyone riding wine 2 whales this year, talk about your prep, ask questions if you are unsure and looking for advice etc.
  8. Maybe it’s time to do a ZWIFT season on PUBG
  9. Seriously? You had to go out and buy a gauge to figure this out? You couldn’t just give the tire a squeeze and realise it’s too flat? I hardly ever use a gauge on my bike tires, just feel them and decide if they need more or less air. I must say I’m pretty surprised by all of you running such low pressures though. 1.4-1.6 bar, I would be wrecking my rims. I only go that low if I’m riding on the beach. How do you keep the tires from rolling off the rim at those pressures? On my lightest days, I’m still on the wrong side of 98kgs….
  10. If you want to know what shafting really looks like, do yourself a favour and scroll through the www.rentoza.co.za website. The monthly rental fees on their devices blows my mind. Why would anyone get a phone or something through them.
  11. Agreed. Definitely value in adding motorsports. Garmin and Suunto already have these as options when you log on the device, so it could be picked up automatically by strava too. Okes who think enduro motorbikes aren’t a workout don’t know what they talking about. I have never been as broken and exhausted after an ride as when I still did enduro - as in motorbike enduro.
  12. Yeah, but your heart rate and power meter requirement for leaderboards would nullify that. That is why I think all they need is a simple algorithm, that flags flagrantly superhuman performance automatically. The user flagging system is sufficient to deal with the odd anomaly that will then slip through the cracks.
  13. There are downhill KOM segments too where power data is a lot less relevant than technical ability. Very few trail bikes and downhill bikes have power meters fitted, so that is a very elitist roadie approach…. I have 2 Koms, and not one of them logged with power meters, but they are gravity focused.
  14. The X-Fusion is actually in my opinion a much better fork than the Judy. But again I think it comes down to marketability. The average buyer would automatically assume the rock shox fork is an upgrade. If I'm not mistaken the X-Fusion was a 32mm fork, and it's really good at the price point. Judy is 30mm and really not great once they stretch it above 100mm. I rode a 130mm Judy on a loaner bike a while ago for a weekend, and it was terrible.
