However... as it suited USADA they dredged up Laws to condone the manipulation the rules that they made... so that they could make the conclusion they needed... if I manipulated the rules... is it fair? I only use the word fair because its just a rule.. not a LAW! Hypothetically... If I was in cycling at the time... and everyone else was doping... I would be inclined to assume that I would have done so too... well it is either that or be relegated to the small time and obscurity and poverty... how many cyclists have you guys followed in the continental teams??? Sooo me being the kind of person I am... I would not want to just take some crap that someone says is good! Just look at some of the guys at gym... eeeuagh! I would want to know what it is that I am taking and I would want to make sure that "clean" and that it works... that stands to reason. I would pay people to test that the stuff works... and how it works... I guess I would have to sell some of it to pay for the research... If I was a peddler (almost succumbed to a pun! ) then the buyers were getting the good stuff and it is possible that I saved many lives because I would not sell ***! As a matter of interest... the riders in the continental teams that never got a showing in the grand tours... perhaps they all took dope too... but because they made no money... no-one cares... From personal experience:My brothers Giant Anthem X Frame cracked from just riding... less than a year old... My old Giant NRS air Carbon 2004 has taken a beating!!... and before the Langs Baviaans my son took a hacksaw blade to the top tube and played the violin... However others could have had other experiences... but the science is proven!

there is nothing wrong with mechanical doping... until USADA hears that perhaps because someone said that they heard you say that you rode one means that you rode one... eeeish and just because everyone else could not keep up and needed to buy one... It means that you must have ridden one at one point... also you help distribute these bikes to everyone else... The mechanics could be to blame too... because they were the enablers... I rode with a bloke a few weeks ago - Abbey.... single speed rider who helped us set up the route at the Ride the Rhenoster... with a rigid fork... Showed me a thing or two about riding!!! Things I learnt from this SS'er: 1) dont be afraid to stand and pedal 2) dont be afraid to free-wheel 3) if you pedal air you are wasting your time 4) dont be afraid to get off your bike 5) smile the whole time!! 6) you will always get warmer - dont over dress! So guys... I am not intrinsically fused to my opinions... they are permanent until they change! Then they are permanent again! I dont have respect for SS'ers... I just think they are better riders... because it aint about the bike!

I suggest you make sure that the Bike Shop you go to has public liability and defective workmanship cover... To bike shops.... If you want to employ untrained workers - cover your clients... else... To bike owners.... go to a shop that cares enough, and is proud enough about their service and customers that they put you first!

Seriously... I have no idea why on earth you would want to strip down a decent bike only to leave one gear... If you want to ride in one gear... then just dont change gears! Seriously!... If you have no self control... then it must be that you struggle with weight... I really dont get it!
