BTW... All the money @cycle4kids goes to charity! Standard bank foot the entire bill... And anything from the riders is given 100% to charity :-)

Haha... Chances are you'll be riding alone for a loooooooooong time... Try getting used to it ;-) Some wrote awhile ago of how to train for this event and the comment was something like this: Place indoor trainer in garage. Switch lights off. Shine red led on the wall that you're facing and pedal the whole night... Its soooooooo true!

Perhaps your frame is too small... Try a shorter stem.. I would suggest staying out of the singletrack with those bars

@blitz... Everyone will have an opinion based on their experience-which is subjective to their style of riding. Sugaeros are very round without much cornering traction.. If you lean your bike much... You'll float like a fairy... Great for throwing your back wheel around... Not so nice fort your front wheel... If you stay upright they will suffice more than sufficiently. On the plus side... They are one of the most durable..

I am sorry that the lady got attacked... Its not right that roads are not safe... Its just not right that we have to be vigilant every second of everyday.. Please guys and girls... I know you have every right to ride alone... But dont! Its not like the lady asked for it... But we live in a violent country... With pigs and bastards and coward... Please stay alert... Be super careful... Its sick that we come to think that this is even the slightest bit justifiable... be enraged! Personally... I'm tired of taking the high road I wish the lady the fastest and most painless recovery... And i hope that she does not become scarred by this incident.. I am very sad.

Again I am baffled at how it is acceptable to just make a dwelling when it is not land for dwellings! What makes it more acceptable to do things that are unlawful? is it poverty? If so where do you draw the line about where to draw the line about what type of crime is acceptable because of poverty? Stop making excuses... kick these leeches out!

I ride to keep fit... I have a slight OCD issue so I either go as fast as I can... Or as slow as I prefer... Either way I do not ride into any walkers... I slow down when there is no way to pass wide and safe... I greet everyone I come across... More than I can say for the so called "polite" walkers,runners, and slow cyclist... Who I now regret have some kind of grudge against anyone who doesn't ride like they do... I make no apologies for enjoying the way I ride. And neither should any of you.. Be safe... Don't put anyone in harm's way... Be kind to everyone... And love what you do.. Or don't!

hahah... You need to pass that law before you can set a speed limit... but by all means go ahead. I have not seen the people you speak of "who cant loose 5 seconds" and anyway... if its important to them and they are abiding by the law... and not injuring anyone... then good for them... you guys get all pompous when people ride faster than you... Just for the record... I have not met one bad tempered MTB'er on the spruit in 2 years... But I have crashed into 2 idiot dogs and have the scars to show for it... both times the dogs were not on a leash... and both ignoramuses laughed about it and did not think they did anything wrong... NEWSFLASH!!! if you take your dog out of your yard... its your responsibility to ensure they are on a leash... and even then... its your responsibility to make sure no-one gets hurt as a result of their stupidity! He has no issues with anyone... and riding whilst having chemo does not make for a fast ride... This place will remind you why you fell in love with mountain biking... If you go slow it's peaceful and relaxing... If you go fast it's mind blowing... Watch the off camber turns and trees in some of the corners... The slope of the property is on about a 2% gradient... So there are no real climbing sections... Except for a few steep inclines and steepish dropoffs... Anyone can ride it and have an awesum time

Don't underestimate the last part.... It's about 100km if flat!!! Sounds easy... There is a headwind mostly... And because it' flat... There is no rest... Then the last bit of climbing will suck your sense if humor out of the bones in your tired body... But when you finish... Euphoria!!!

Rocket rons performance have sidewalls as thick as condoms... But it took me just 20 min to install and seal with stans... I do ride at slightly high pressure and have never had sidewall issues... I have had a puncture on the tread.. But then we all do...

Safe riding guys... Please dont asume that drivers know where you are... I hate this... 2 guys woke up... Just like me this morning, wanting to cycle... We really need to change the mindset of people who drive drunk... If you are gonna drink... Call a taxi... Simple! I was going to ride there today...
